I really wanted to wait to write this review. But I do feel our experience has allowed me to give an accurate assessment of our experience so far. It's a great school - I do believe that. Our daughter has thrived, excelled in many of her classes, and made some wonderful friends. The teachers and staff do a phenomenal job and are clearly dedicated to their students. But if you do have a child that struggles with a learning disability, just know that sometimes it's an uphill battle. My child does have a specific learning disabilty, and I guess I misunderstood that the school might provide things similar to an IEP plan in the public school setting. That hasn't been the case, but I do understand that this is a college-prep school. I'm not sure what our plan is at this point, but I do know that her teachers are committed to helping her succeed, so we plan to be partners in that effort in whatever way we can.

We have had an incredible experience at TPS!! The school is academically challenging, they prepare our youths to be successful citizens, how to be successful academically while at TPS and thoroughly prepare students for college. There are a variety of sports, theater and clubs offered, as well as volunteer opportunities. The Campus is beautifully maintained.

Trinity Prep is a school where kids are challenged academically but are also inspired to step outside their comfort zones and try new things. It’s not unusual to find a student who is on the track team yet also plays in the jazz band or one who is a baseball player but is also an editor on the school newspaper staff. All three of our boys have found a true community of friends over the years that not only supports them but motivates them in their endeavors. Trinity has undoubtedly provided them an invaluable foundation for college and beyond.

Trinity Prep is a wonderful all around school. Academically, I couldn't ask for a better school for my 3 kids. TPS challenges each and everyone of them, pushes each child to be their very best. The teachers are amazing, caring and supportive. I know that my kids will be ready for the challenges that college and life will bring them. Athletically, Trinity encourages every child to be part of a team. Since 6 grade, students are encouraged to try a different sport. In 6 grade, my kid tried volleyball and soccer before falling in love with lacrosse. Trinity's speech and debate team is excellent. Our son learned so much and did so well in competitions nationally. Trinity is welcoming of every background and religion. Coming from a different faith, it was important that my kids felt welcomed. And that is exactly what we found in Trinity. Trinity reinforced the values that we taught our kids: to be caring, compassionate, giving, understanding, and respectful of others. I know that my kids are ready for the real world! Our now freshman in college, is excelling in an Ivy school. He is confident, has top grades and gives back to his community. We couldn't ask for a better preparation for our kids, professionally and for life!

Trinity Prep is a School that is top notch and only getting better. The Head of School has been at TPS for 5 years and has found a way to harness the capabilities of a fine faculty and get them to buy into a student-centric experience. The quality of education, experiences afforded to students, and the environment of mentoring, curiosity, athletics, and growth, are really spectacular. The quality of the students who are focused on learning and the multitude of options available to them creates a really perfect blend to make for the perfect place regardless of a student's particular interests. The end product is that the school produces a student college experience where work ethic, organization, and ability are second nature for TPS alums.

Trinity Preparatory School is committed to the education of the whole person in preparation for college and beyond through the cultivation of academic and athletic excellence, respect, integrity, and personal responsibility within a nurturing environment that results in productive citizens of a global community. In their years at TPS, our sons not only continuously grown academically but also keep adding life skills, while discovering how to utilize their strengths in their journey to become independent young adults.

We began our journey with TPS several years ago and currently have two children attending. The opportunities my first child received as an academically gifted student have kept them engaged and happy. Now as a high schooler, they are getting a heightened level of support to guide them to the right choice for college. By the same token, my second child who is a more average student, gets the support and guidance they need when they are struggling to keep up. The class sizes are small enough to get that individual attention and we have found the teachers to be caring, bright and enthusiastic. This is vitally important because it is a rigorous education. Also, the school’s Covid protocols have been great with a fantastic remote learning module to fall back on when cases spike. So why the four stars instead of five? We have some concerns regarding the way the school plans to operate in the future. We were recently informed of the school’s intention to hire an assistant head of school for the sole purpose of carrying out a diversity and inclusion plan. A plan that includes additional training for teachers and presumably things students and teachers can and cannot discuss in the classroom without fear of being “cancelled”. I think to this point the teachers are doing a great job of guiding the students down the path of both thinking for themselves while being respectful of those who diasagree. It’s what becoming a critical thinker is all about. Plus, the school already has a tuition assistance program and is an equal opportunity school so anyone, regardless of race or financial standing, can apply to the school. So why the need for this new position? How is the school discriminating? In researching other schools that have followed such a plan, it was noted that free speech and open debate were no longer allowed and instead of students being viewed based upon the content of their character, it was more about their racial identity and preferred pronouns. We are cautiously optimistic that the school will approach this in a way that makes all students feel included and heard, without making some students out to be oppressors simply based on skin color or traditional values. I will update my review later this year as we hear more concrete information about what is planned and whether TPS will continue to be the school we’d like to attend. There are many other current families who feel this way but have been reluctant to come forward.

Martin Luther King Jr. said, " Intelligence plus character--that is the goal of a true education." This true education is what we have found at Trinity Prep. The academic rigour along with the multitude of clubs and activities have given our kids a full rounded education. We choose to commute 35 minutes to Trinity Prep over other prep schools in our area because we found that Trinity Prep gave our children more opportunities. These are the key points that makes Trinity stand out :1. the whole school operates on one bell schedule thus giving children in middle school an opportunity to take high school level classes based on ability2. Trinity's philosophy is to try everything and they stick to that by making space on all sports teams in middle school and in theatre productions; you might not be the main lead or the main player but everyone will have the opportunity to participate3. College counseling starts early and the ratio of students to counselors is excellent4. They work hard to make everyone feel that they are in a community that cares, " the trinity family " I could list many more things but suffice to say, my children and I have been happy with the education and experiences they have had at Trinity Prep and I would highly recommend Trintiy Preparatory School.

We were looking for a school for my children where they- would be supported by the faculty, staff and their peers- would be challenged academically- would be surrounded by others who were interested in pursuing professional success- could participate in sports to learn teamwork and stay fit- could try new activities and decide whether they really enjoyed these activities enough to pursue them furtherWe found Trinity Prep and we have really enjoyed it. The class sizes are small enough that the kids don't get lost, but large enough that there are many ideas discussed. The school overall has been really careful with Covid protocols and strives to keep the kids safe. There is a focus on long term goals and choosing the best colleges for each student. And the faculty and staff really engage the students in a way that truly creates the feeling of on big family.

I have two children currently at Trinity and a Trinity graduate. I can speak from experience and say that Trinity did an excellent job preparing my oldest child for college. Her essay writing, presentation, and leadership skills have all been instrumental in her success at college and were fine tuned while at Trinity. My two younger children are very different and excelling in their own ways. With the opportunity to play sports at any level, students who want to continue to play in college have the support and ability to do so, while those who just want to enjoy the high school team experience can have this opportunity as well. Trinity also has an incredible fine arts program that allows students to experiment in different areas while also pursuing passions at the same time. it is very common to be a Trinity student that plays a sport and also is part of drama, chorus or the jazz band. Leadership and character development aren't just themes discussed in a school assembly, but are part of the every day school environment. Building a house for Habitat for Humanity, participating in our nationally recognized Forensics program or pursuing your passion by leading the Peace Jam or Key Club are all ways to actively become a leader at Trinity. Students are encouraged to pursue their passions in a foreign language, computer science, humanities, science or math because they have relationships with teachers who share their love of learning and have the opportunity to get to know them. These relationship become important as the students began to apply for college. Essays can be worked on in English class. Teacher recommendations are heartfelt and meaningful. And the college process isn't overwhelming because Trinity has the processes in place to help you each step of the way. We couldn't be happier at Trinity and feel that our children have been able to discover their passions and pursue opportunities because of the learning environment Trinity has provided.

Very disappointed, there is a social/political agenda in some of the classes (maybe virtue signaling by teachers afraid to lose their jobs?). Little homework (even in honors or advanced classes). Not sure what happened to TPS, it was once a great school. Some teachers primarily show opinion based videos (that appear factual), then they ask the class a couple of questions trying to trivialize dissenters, and then they provide “assignments” from the latest politically motivated internet resource. Recently told that TPS is underway to getting a Board-level committee on diversity and inclusion and “significantly expanding the training that employees and students receive regarding diversity and cultural norms.” I understand that some folks like this type of school format, and that’s ok if that is what they want and are expecting.

I went to Trinity in the late 1990s so can only speak to the quality of the school then. It was by far one of the most fulfilling, life-changing intellectual and social experiences I have had in my life. The teachers were incredibly engaging and both the quality the classes and the rigor of work required were superb. Whereas so many of the best private schools in the country often create an unhealthy culture of competitiveness that values achievement and success over intellectual inquiry, I did not feel any competition or excessive stress while at the school. And I felt like most of my peers (in the advanced classes) were intrinsically motivated. It wasn't about the grade so much as it was about really loving the material. To the parents complaining about the athletics or no room for a "life" you're right, this is probably not the school for your family. (Yes, I had five hours of homework every night but usually spent the entire weekend with friends, not to mention that there are decades of "life" to be had after high school, starting when you get to the college of your choice.) If you have a bright, motivated, intellectual and high-performing kid, this is absolutely the place to send them. They will be incredibly well prepared for college and beyond. After Trinity I went to Princeton and then to Harvard for graduate school.

I'm currently a freshman at Trinity Prep, and was recently accepted this year. So far I can honestly say that I have had some of the best months of my life as a student. The teachers care about you and want you to succeed and strive, although the workload is heavy and getting good grades is an arduous task; Trinity helps you prevail. The athletics are decent, the boys varsity soccer team is number one in the district, the football team continues to progress and grow, the swimming team gets a number of records, and the boys varsity cross country team just won states for the second time in a row. My favorite part about the school is the campus, its unique appearance gives it an impression of a "miniature college." The interview during the admissions process is absolutely vital, as the school can get a feel for who your child is as a person and who they want to be like in the future as a role model for the school. Trinity prides its self on its motto "ad astra per aspera," which translates to "through hardship to the stars." This motto perfectly suits Trinity, as through the struggle and hard work you can achieve anything your heart desires in life. - Kyden Payne, Class of 2018

I cannot say enough positive things about Trinity. We are not rich, my son is biracial, and he entered Trinity as a junior. He plays football, runs track, and does community service. He was a straight A student in public school with NO effort; he works very, very hard for high B's at Trinity- they do not give away grades! As far as cliques, those are at EVERY school but my son-who is shy- made friends very easily and has really blossomed. The experience is what you make of it; if you keep to yourself and don't introduce yourself to other parents, WHY should they approach YOU? The facilities are beautiful, the grounds are well-kept, and there is a lot of pride in the school. Most teachers have been there a very long time. My son was accepted to another high-profile private school with no interview, whereas Trinity focuses on making sure the student will be a good fit for the school rather than if you can afford the tuition. The Director of Admissions is top-notch and a real go-getter. If you and your child do what the college counselors tell you, your child WILL get into the college of their choice, as the counselors are pros and they know exactly what they are doing.

Ironic that the most recent review is recommending a homeschooling organization over Trinity Prep. This review looks very much like an advertisement for the other school named at the end and far from an accurate description of the students who graduate from TPS who return in large numbers to tell us how well prepared they were for college. More importantly, they are engaged in their communities and are able to keep balance in their lives. I would venture to say that if you speak to any TPS grad, you would get a very different response from this reviewer.

I am a former student of Trinity Prep. I spent 6 years there and would not recommend this school. I realize that many disagree with me but I say this because I believe that in order to have a school benefit the students, the students must be the priority. Students are not the priority at Trinity. I have done very well in college but many students from Trinity struggle with the real world after graduation. I have seen so many former students not be able to balance the academic and social needs of college. As a prep school this should be the what Trinity does. Now that I am almost done with college, I can only hope that if you are considering this school for your child, you check out other area schools and my suggestion would be to check out Circle Christian School.

As a parent of three students who attended TPS in both middle and high school, I certainly empathize with the young middle school student who was unhappy. My children did not always feel settled at that age and I'd urge him/her to hang in there; life gets better and better. I often wish the middle school students could see forward to who they will become by senior year in high school. They would be amazed at their confidence and individuality. At TPS, each of my children was stretched and nurtured by caring adults--teachers, administrators, coaches. My three now say, "thank heavens you sent me to Trinity Prep." But they didn't always feel that way, while in the midst of their growing up. My children write beautifully. They know how to think for themselves. They learned to solve problems, work in groups, get along. And they learned to be themselves. Each was admitted to every college to which they applied, because they listened to the college counselors and looked for schools that were a good fit. And importantly, each of our three flourished in college and still feels very connected to their institutions. We are very grateful to the Trinity Prep community!
