Pro-So far St. Joe's is great! Our daughter just finished PreK 3 and she has learned so much! We can't wait for next year and the years to come. It is such a blessing that our daughter gets to go to a school where she can get a higher education and learn about God at the same time. All the staff and teachers treat you and your child(ren) like family and the school is well secured to keep all children and staff safe. Con-Wish the school had more parking open during school hours. The car line pick up process is inefficient and frustrating.

St. Joseph Catholic School has exceeded my expectations in so many levels. It's a great school and I'm extremely impressed.

We have 4 children that have all attended St. Joseph. We feel it was the best fit for all our needs/wants for an educational experience.

This school is great for students that are capable of learning in a whole group setting with little to no differentiated instruction. Basically the type of student with enough natural intellect that they would succeed in any school setting. The teaching is very "one model fits all" with little regard to different learning styles. There is a tendancy to only "blame" the student if there are learning issues/poor scores (i.e. lacks motivation, wasn't listening, didn't take detailed enough notes, etc). There is very little self-reflection of the instructional practices of a large portion of the instructional staff to "unlock" the learning for students whose learning style is not successful with teacher-lecture style delivery (sit and get with heavy memorization of low-level facts). Your child either fits their instructional model or they just won't fit in. The positive for the school is the family-feel and the stability of the majority of students returning year to year.

When Mrs Schwope was around I had a better opinion of the school. Is this education good yes; however, you would think that because the school is religious bullying would be non-existant but it's not. I can go as far as saying that some teachers are bullies themselves, they think too highly of themselves and many parents walk around with their noses in the air. I'm considering no longer sending my children to this school next year because a lot of the focus has shifted from student to profit in the years since there's been administrative changes.

I am a former student and now teacher for the public school system. I never had the opportunity to teach for this school and I enjoy the benefits of public schools to move. I teach middle school and can honestly say I am so beyond blessed to have attended this school 1st-8th grade. The education and overall love of learning I received here allowed me to take accelerated classes in high school, graduate from the best university in Florida and continue to receive my masters in education so I can teach and pass my love of learning along. This school has seen many changes and grown immensely, but the one thing that has always remained is the care and dedication of the teachers and staff to the students at this school. You would be hard pressed to find another school where your children are treated as individuals and not just another number or test score. The high expectations of the teachers that I had at this school, made me the teacher I am today and I am forever grateful for the solid foundation I received here.

My daughter has gone here from 3rd-8th grade, and went to an "A" public school for 6th, then transferred back for 7th. There was a major change in academics from each school. I disagree with people who say that this school isn't advanced, at least in middle school. She has been learning high school science, high school spanish, and advanced math (Algebra 1). The school is safe, friendly, and clean. My daughter absolutely loves this school and everyone is a family, this school is worth the money! A+!

My daugher just started PreK3 program this year. I have to say that her teacher is the reason we attend. My daugher has learned things from this teacher that I am so glad I choose this school. I can not wait for her sister to attend in two years. The teachers assistant is also a pleasure as well as office staff. I highly recommend the PreK 3 program.

We are new to the school this year (2010-11) and we are extremely pleased with our decision to enroll our daughter. The school is wonderful and she was welcomed exceptionally well among students and faculty. The principal of the school is absolutely an amazing, dedicated individual who seems to know the name of every student in the school. Highly recommend St. Joseph's for a whole body educational experience, the 45minute drive is well worth the quality student development.
