Teachers, Administration, and after-school staff are all wonderful people who make me feel they genuinely care for my children. Huge strides have been made with my son, who requires an IEP and had been previously ostracized at another school by staff who did not care to try working with him.Principal and Asst Principal are some of the most involved school admin staff I have ever seen and work hard to make students and parents feel welcome.

This school has helped my child so much. Mrs Mckhenry, The principle, the school Police woman, my daughters teacher Mrs. Dugan , and even the after school staff Mrs carmen , mr brad, mr ivan. Every one in this school is a blessing. My daughter was not wanted at her previous school. She was near getting banned. But what they did not understand was that my daughter had very bad anxiety and even worst when I would walk out the door after dropping her off at school. my daughter struggled soooo much and the previous school did not show any help or concern but simply called me to pick her up each time she acted out. I , as a single mother running out of options withdrew her and put her into Sunridge elementary. I thought i was going to lose my jobs from how often i was being called to pick up my daughter from the previous school. My daughter upon going to this school had the same problem , her anxiety and ADHD got in the way. This school yes called me in the beginning every other day. It was so hard I was constantly at the school and in the principles office or on the phone with the teachers and deans. But one thing they did excellent was tell me, " look i know you are a single mother and we know your daughter can adjust and its going to be a process and we will work with you because we know she can make it here in sunridge elementary." 4 months have passed since that harsh beginning of transitioning. My daughter has improved academically so much and walks into school without fear, without crying and sometimes doesn't want to leave school. I pray that God blesses this school and the staff all the staff that was there going through this process patiently with me and my daughter. Especially Mrs. Mckhenry . She is the biggest kid magnet/ sweet heart/ and most caring person for the kids i have ever met! i mean they are all that way but Mrs. Mckhenry hits my heart hard because she put up with my baby girl and did it with an open heart and willingness to want her to get help. I will never forget this school and all they have done. from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you all so much !!! i love you guys for all that you have done !! I would not have had a jobs still if it weren't for you all and your help and patience and kindness. And most importantly My daughter would not be the person she is now if it weren't for you. Thank you sunridge!

This is our third year at the school. Each year the school gets better. Each year, my children get wonderful teachers. The teachers and staff are great. My kids enjoy going to school. Homework is never over the top. The teachers communicate with the students and families through weekly newsletters and emails. We alsways know what is going on. All of my children's teachers are willing tonmert or talk with at any time. This year, we got a new principal. She is excellent. She has created a very warm and inviting school. Ms. Goreberg is engaged with the students and the parents. I am pleased with the school. I highly recommend the school.

I'd like to thank the teachers at SunRidge ES for all their hard work and dedication to our children. They are very caring and will do anything to help students succeed. I spend time in my children's classrooms each week and honestly don't know how teachers do it! There are many teachers who even tutor students before school on their own time without any compensation for themselves. I haven't seen a staff of teachers (K-5) who care more about their students then SR teachers. Bravo!!!

A "C" rated Principal = A "C" rated school. There is little or no concern for the students growth and development. Committees, administration and groups accept the below average rating and do minimal to improve.

Absolutley LOVE Sunridge!!! I have had nothing but a great experience at Sunridge! Teachers and admin have nothing but the best interest of their students in mind.

Wow, unless the board changes the principle, this school will not change. I have both my kids in this elementary and have had a plateau of issues that have gone ignored. I have raised my concerns to the school board and that is the only way to get any action from administration. How can the middle school get a better rating? Teachers are weak and education is strongly lacking. I'm so disappointed I moved into this areas 2 years ago and was forced to send my children here.

Unless the administration changes this school will continue to let down the children and parents. I gave the school one star for being clean and organized, at least to an outside eye. Time after time the school will disregard concerns if students and parents and their primary concern is thee budget, not educating young minds.

Awful parent involvement and it shows. A lot of parents in this area are focused on having the latest cell phone or rims on their car instead of reading to their children and caring for them. It's very sad! You couldn't pay me to send my kids back there!

So after the first year this school has been open, it has received a 'C' rating...even with all the great teachers, active administration, and brand new technology. One of the very obvious main issues here is parent involvement. Teachers, PTO, and a few involved parents have noticed this lack of parent involvement all during the first year of operation. Lack of the parent's interest in the students education will continue to hold this school back from "making the grade". There are too many choices for A rated elementary schools in the local area to 'settle' for a Florida 'C' rated school.
