Responsible leaders could do a better job reinforcing rules around dress codes, group hangout in hallways, control of cell phone usage in classrooms and better monitor attendance in classes. Just because these kids are older, does not mean that parent/teachers should limit communication. While parents are hugely responsible for their son/daughter’s actions, we expect the Concord staff to be more involved, show that you care for these kids and have “Control” over your environment. Concord HS Teachers are great and I understand that rough sketchy students can be intimidating but these young Teens need more structure. Observe odd student behaviors and address any situation sooner rather than later. Parents, if you can afford a private school for your child, do it, lucky you – go for it. But as for parents that work hard to make ends meet, we rely on Staff to mentor and guide our kids to academic success. Not only focus on the easy smart kids, but also the average students that work hard and want to do well. Challenge self, challenge others and make it fun.

Great school for its district, though it could have provided more opportunity for challenge. Has great potential for students who are driven.
