This school basically hired all of the bullies when they grew up, that’s all the teachers know how to do while preaching not to bully. They don’t have their priorities straight and like to sweep things under the rug to make their image look good, this school started out great in its first few years and every year it gets worse, the vice principal is very bad about retaliation and loves having a power trip whenever she can.

HPA has been a tremendous God send for this area. High Academics, (now rated an A District by TEA for academics 2022!!) Excellent sports and the Fine Arts are awesome. Kids experience dance, art, theater, sign language, piano labs, foreign languages, graphic arts and much more. The ability to balance strong academics with a family feel has been the game changer for me. There are many options for my children, but none can check the boxes and make this big of a difference for kids! Thank you High Point Academy.

I’d rather have an upside down mop with goggely eyes and wax lips teach my kids then to send my children here. At least the mop would not be cruel and damaging the to kids. I bet the mop could pull better test scores too. Verdict- mop wins

My daughter went here from 1st-4th grade. We felt that she had a learning disability and got her tested in the 2nd grade only to find out she was dyslexic. She did not get any assistance at this school until she was in the 3rd grade and her homeroom teacher made her feel like she was dumb. Onward to the 4th grade where only 2 of her 5 teachers she had encouraged her and worked with her. The whole time she was there she made mostly A's only because we had to teach her mostly at home. The discipline at this school is lacking. There was a child that had anger management problems that was constantly hitting, yelling or throwing things at other students in the classroom. He never got suspended because he was the son of one of the teachers. Also, when the teachers would discipline the students, they would not direct it towards the ones causing the problems. They would punish the class as a whole and make them all walk or run laps and take away recess. I had countless meetings with admin and things never changed. Most of the great teachers or admin left this school for the same reason. Now my daughter is attending a different charter school that is actually challenging her but doing it in a nurturing and productive way. She is finally excelling and doing above grade level work. So glad that she no longer attends this school. It took 2 years just to undo the damage that this toxic school did to her.

High point is a toxic environment in every way shape and form. Staff and some of the teachers not only cultivate the bullying atmosphere but encourage students to join in. Teachers slander former students to their classes and have mob mentality. Academics are second to discipline in this school and their test scores show it. Run while you can.

teachers are bias a lot of the time, many don't consider that we actually need "us" time, or that we have other classes when assigning homework or assignments that you have to do at home. big sad time hours

No cafeteria for ms or hs. No regard for the well being for the kids. 1 counselor for almost 1000 kids. How do you call that a school

terrible terrible terrible would not recommend. Actually a quite laughable school when it comes down to education and bullying.

My son is in high school but has gone to High Point since elementary. We have never had any problems. The staff and students are very close and everyone knows everyone else! The academics are great too.

Daughter has adapted well. Taking pre ap classes and next year dual credit. The high school is small enough that she is able to be an individual and not get list in the masses like in these mega schools.
