Horrible school if I could give it a 0/5 I would because the school system would rather spend all their money on a new middle school and new sports complexes than fix there High School roof which leaks water all over the floors of the school and they don't try to fix it or look into it so the ceiling and carpet is probably filled with a bunch of mold all they do is put a wet floor sign down and tell you to be careful this school is honestly horrible everyone i talked to that goes to this school or has already graduated from this school says they will never let there child attend KV

This school is a big joke and the ones with disabilities do not graduate with a high school diploma and cannot use the scholarship to attend a college and they earned this scholarship from being in band and they receive a certificate of completion and can never get employed by a employer as it is not a high school diploma

No matter what you hear from others, I love this school. The teachers care about the students education and they are so engaging! The bullying has gotten down, and we were rated a 4 star school by the state, the best there is! There is an anonymous tip line for reporting bad behavior, but the other students do not realize that is an option. they have some many clubs and activities. the band is awesome so is their sports teams. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL!

A school with an "anti" bullying campaign doesn't take a hard look at the staff members and see who the bully really is. After having many issues with a particular teacher, I was sent to the main principal, after 3 weeks of waiting. The principal over looked all the other students complaints and mine, and even had the nerve to defend the teacher. Also the principal is old, tired, and needs to be replaced like many of the other things at KV High School. It's also not just the bullying in the school, but chewing tobacco is a major issue and is commonly used in the school. From a student to a parent, please steer your children away from this school if you want them to get a good education.

My daughter graduated from KVHS and was very well prepared for college. She earned college credit from the AP classes that she took. She was also very involved in academic teams, drama and music. All of these program were superior. The teaching staff is well above average.

I have one son that graduated & two other sons still attending. I LOVE this school & the school system. They have a lot to offer to gifted children. We moved here based on the schools. Our sons will graduate with their welding certificates & many college credits. Friends of ours children have graduated with their daughters working as CNA's & have gone right into construction positions with the skills that they learned here. If you have any kind of a problem & take it to the office, it is dealt with swiftly & appropriately. Theft & drugs? My sons cell was stolen 2 years ago. He knew exactly who he thought took it from his gym locker. I left the phone on & the next day I met with the principal. I also called in the police & they pulled the people with whom received calls from my sons phone that night. They told the police who called them & after retrieving that young man from class he turned over the phone & his parents were contacted & we were given the phone back. Only incident we have ever had. Drugs? Well they are every where. We have never had a problem. But we raised our children right. I honestly have never heard of any drug incidents here. LOVE KVHS!!!

Just a word to share with all outsiders who come out to chear on your basketball or football team here in Kankakee .dont get upset when a school official come up to you with some yellow card saying you can't chear on YOUR team who you paid your money to support What type of BS is this oh I forgot Kankakee is in the middle of no where and some PEOPLE don't see the outside world lol good luck !!!!

My four children all graduated from K.V. and are all doing great because of the education they received!!
