This school is nice, but they focus too much on sports instead of other afterschool programs such as the theater department. This school was also effective in swiftly evacuating us from school when there was an unsubstantiated bomb threat on our school. I’ve met great friends at this school and have built strong relationships with them. Some people in the school are very cliquey, but most are nice and welcoming. The school is very competitive and most teachers are amazing, but there are some who are down right horrible. Recently, there has been little to no school spirit and a lot of judgement of others takes place. Despite this, I think that overall, this school would be worth going to. I’d recommend it. Just work hard and do well in school.

The team that gets the best players always wins!I know teachers in very unprivileged schools : kids don’t have food for breakfast for example. How to teach kids whose basic needs have not been met? Weston is completely different. Students come from very nurturing homes, tutoring is offered at the first sign of any difficulties. The teachers get “ the best players”. There wonderful and not - so- wonderful teachers. Nothing exceptional is being done. The Counceling Department is terrible . Maybe the person in charge should “ retire”!!!! There should be a requirement for teachers to move to a different school after couple of years so they would try to be the best.In this school not only teachers are involved in the learning process but lots of tutors and parental help. There are some really MEAN teachers.

An excellent school system in every way. As good or better than most area private schools.

Some teachers should be dismissed!!!! Administration needs to really work with families and be helpful!

Very mediocre administration and teaching. Kids do well because they come from supportive and high achieving families who can afford to supplement with external tutors, college counselors, and other resources, not because of the school.

We were so impressed with the support our teenager received from this school. It was really academically focused. Our kid was not a big sports kid, but the sports programs are all very good. We saw seniors recruited to amazing schools - even Princeton for swimming ! Our child graduated with 22 credits for college and prices being what they are - that was an amazing advantage. I think this is a great small school and a shining example of successful public education.

Top school, great teachers, affluent community, tons of advantages while in a small, caring environment. What could be better?

A 2014 Blue Ribbon School. A terrific school all-around. Small classes, challenging coursework, modern facilities. Better than any private school around. The staff actually cares about each and every student and treats them respectfully. The extracurricular programs such as sports, music and arts are all exceptional. Most juniors and seniors take several AP classes. I have had two children graduate and another coming up the ranks. The school really prepares kids for college. We have the best school system in the state. Not too big and not too small. Most people who move to Weston come here for the great school system. Nice, caring community too. Neighbors help neighbors.

Weston High School is an inspirational environment for students, whether their proclivities are more science and math oriented, or more humanities based. The teachers are highly intelligent, well trained, very experienced, and care deeply about their students. They also have very high standards, motivating their students to do their best work. My child was at a top private school and yet we moved him back to Weston High, initially concerned about the change, prior to his actual enrollment. However, our son loves the school, is totally engaged in his courses (all APs and honors) and is also very happy socially. The school also has a fantastic theatre department; we were stunned by the professionalism of the productions! We are all so happy with the upbeat, intelligent, friendly and creative feeling of the environment.
