Our experience at Tamaques has always been of the highest quality. Classes start in the 1st grade and there are around 4 classes in each grade, going up to the fifth grade. There’s an individual kindergarten in Westfield for pre K and kindergarten students. My son has had the most amazing experience at Tamaques. We’re going into the third grade now and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone there from the faculty and staff, teachers, PTO board members, to the students and their parents. It has been an experience full of growth, learning and love. I’ve never believed in such a school as I do in this one. Their hearts and minds are in the right place, and it shows through with the exceptional students they’ve nurtured there.

Exceptional! We couldn’t be happier, any concerns we immediately meet with staff to come to a resolution.

The school is overcrowded and underfunded. A few teachers are good but many lack the ability to manage a large classroom.

I have two children attending Tamaques and it is a wonderful place. The teachers are terrific--enthusiastic, well-educated, and caring. There is a lot of parental involvement which means plenty of fun and community-building activities for students and families. Fortunately, I've only had one occasion to request a meeting with the principal. He was extremely caring and professional. I'm very happy my children are spending their elementary years at Tamaques.

Our daughter started going to the school right in the middle of the year in 2nd Grade. She got special treatment on her first day at the school. All her classmates wrote her a welcome note besides taking group pictures to make her feel comfortable. She has been very excited going to the school every day. So far we have been happy parents being new to the town.

Tamaques is the best school in Westfield, hands down. The principal and teachers are caring and professional.
