Outstanding Educational Experience at The Greene SchoolAs a parent of a student at The Greene School, I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of education and the supportive environment my daughter has experienced here. The school fosters an atmosphere of creativity, curiosity, and intellectual growth. From the small class sizes that allow for personalized attention to the diverse curriculum that encourages critical thinking, my daughter has thrived academically and socially. One of the standout aspects of The Greene School is the caliber of the teachers, who I refer to as professors due to their incredible expertise and professionalism. Each educator brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to their teaching, ensuring that the students are not only learning but are also truly engaged with the material. The professors are deeply committed to their students’ success, providing the type of mentorship that challenges students to reach their full potential while supporting them every step of the way.The sense of community at The Greene School is also something special – families, professors, and administrators work together to create a nurturing and collaborative environment. Moreover, the school emphasizes not just academic excellence but also character development, preparing students to be well-rounded individuals. My daughter has not only developed academically but also built confidence and leadership skills, which will serve her well in the future.I am truly grateful for the impact The Greene School has had on my child’s growth and learning. I highly recommend this school to any family looking for an exceptional educational experience!

I am delighted to share my experience as a parent whose child is currently in their first year at The Greene School's high school. Despite being only in its second year, the high school has left an indelible impression on me with its forward-thinking approach and meticulous preparation for college. One standout aspect is the school's dedication to college readiness, evident in the expertise of the college counselor. Their knowledge and commitment to guiding students through the college preparation process have been invaluable.-this is typically not done until your child is in 11th grade! The teaching faculty is truly top-notch, going beyond imparting knowledge to instill a genuine passion for learning in the students. What sets The Greene School apart is the personalized touch evident in every aspect. The high school principal not only oversees the academic journey but also genuinely knows my child. This personalized connection has made a significant impact on my child's overall experience.I wholeheartedly recommend The Greene School to parents seeking a high school that combines forward-thinking initiatives, a knowledgeable staff, and a principal who truly understands and connects with the students. If you are looking for a supportive and personalized high school experience for your child, The Greene School is an excellent choice.

I am delighted to share my experiences at The Greene School, where my children have been receiving their education for the past few years. The school has proven itself as an extraordinary place of learning, dedicated to fostering academic growth and personal development in its students. One of the most impressive aspects of the school is its exceptional teachers. The educators at The Greene School go above and beyond to engage students in meaningful and relevant ways. They employ innovative teaching methods that cater to different learning styles, ensuring that every child can grasp and appreciate the subjects being taught. I have noticed a significant improvement in my children's academic skills and their enthusiasm for learning, which I attribute to the dedication of the teaching staff. The school's commitment to holistic development is evident through its well-rounded curriculum. Beyond traditional subjects, the school places a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities, arts, sports, and character education. This approach nurtures not only academic excellence but also important life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and creativity.I am also appreciative of the school's communication. Regular parent-teacher meetings and constant contact keep us well-informed about our children's academic performance and overall development. The willingness of the school staff to listen to concerns and address them promptly is truly commendable.Safety is a top priority at The Greene School. The school has implemented thorough security measures to ensure the well-being of all students. I am reassured knowing that my children are in a secure environment that prioritizes their safety and comfort. The sense of community at The Greene School is wonderful. The school organizes various events throughout the year that bring parents, teachers, and students together. This not only strengthens the bond between families and the school but also creates a supportive network for both children and parents. The Greene School has exceeded my expectations as a nurturing and enriching educational institution. I wholeheartedly recommend The Greene School to any parent seeking a school that prioritizes their child's growth and well-being. I look forward to my children taking their education all the way through High School at The Greene School!

We have found our dream school! The Greene School focuses on challenging academics, values, and mental health! The school is led by a caring and knowledgeable Head of School who knows each an every one of her students and parents. The HOS values community and invites parents in to take tennis clinics, yoga, and even hip hop! Her caring energy is carried over to her teachers. The teachers at Greene are caring and compassionate. They are excellent at their craft and it's evident they love teaching! Greene offers music, Spanish, Mandarin, drama, PE, yoga, dance, computer science, and engineering. They also have an aviation club and can you believe the Head of School is a pilot too! Greene has a great sports program and just opened a high school this year with a personalized college counseling program. They will be adding 10th grade next year and will add on a grade each year. Definitely check out Greene if you are looking for a place to call home for your child that will provide a great learning experience and prepare your child for college and life!

As an educator with over 15 years of experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, I can attest that The Greene School offers an innovative and inspired approach to education. My two elementary age daughters started there this school year. I describe the school as a STEAM school that looks like a Silicon Valley corporate headquarters. Most walls are made of glass, which creates a feeling of openness, and the students have access to the latest and greatest educational technologies. Parents are always welcome on campus and are invited into the courtyard on Friday mornings to watch various grade levels make presentations highlighting the work they are doing in their classes. These weekly opportunities for public speaking and performance by all grade levels, teach invaluable life skills that help the children become more confident and develop a stronger sense of self-worth. The teachers at The Greene School have a desire to create the best possible educational experience for each individual child. Math instruction is differentiated for the students and can be offered at an accelerated pace when it is needed. In addition to the standard fine arts courses, which are all taught by experts and leaders in each of their respective fields, all students get to experience engineering, computer science, drama, yoga, mindfulness and dance classes on a weekly basis. The students also attend foreign language class four days a week. After school enrichments such as musical theatre, chess, robotics and aeronautics further enhance the exceptional education offered at The Greene School. With such a variety of courses and activities, it is not surprising when I hear my daughters say that every day at The Greene School feels like a day at summer camp.

The Greene School is a special community that welcomed my daughter and I with open arms. The small class sizes allows my daughter to receive personalized 1:1 education. Dr. Spirou makes each student feel valued and is always willing to meet with me to discuss my daughter's academic and social-emotional progress. There is a plethora of enrichment classes offered throughout the school day - way more than our last school! The teachers are kind, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. I am grateful we found The Greene School!

I have never been more impressed and thankful to be a part of a school. It is more than a school with highly qualified teachers and staff, it is a family and community. The day we toured the school with Dr. Denise Spirou was the day my daughter's educational experience (and us as a family) was changed forever. We walked out of the school and she had the biggest smile and said, "this is where I want to be." During our tour, Dr. Spirou sat one on one with our daughter and had a conversation with her directly about what she enjoyed about the school, her strengths, her dreams and goals, and her extracurricular activities and explained to her their style of learning at The Greene School. She genuinely cared about her as a person, not just another student walking through the door. The entire staff has the students and families best interest, well-being, and future at heart. They have a staff of world-class leaders that teach each student to become leaders in life, now and in the future, to build on each other's character and accept each other's differences, as well as build out each student's academic plan that best suits them and their goals. The Greene School is not your average school with your standard academic curriculum, it is innovative, fun, and an experience. Not only are the teachers amazing but they have a private chef, Chef Ira, that provides the entire school with healthy meals each and every day, giving me peace of mind that they are setting our children up for success not only academically but overall health and mindfulness, rather than diabetes or any other chronic disease. I am blessed to have found The Greene school and have the opportunity to provide such an incredibly educational and life experience for not only my daughter but all children.

Terrible school. It is an illusion. They sell an illusion to parents . Totally fake and shallow. There is no authenticity, no support for students. Faculty turnover is high, and Head of School is unexperienced and under qualified. Disappointed that this school allows themself to be put on a list like this one when their priority is a positive public image rather than protecting even the basic needs of their students. Needs such as respect, privacy and consideration. Clearly they have succeeded in having a positive public image, however, I urge people to go beyond the image that they portray and seriously consider if you would like to your child to be forgotten, feel devalued by the school and their peers, and come out of the school less than when they went in.

As an educator, this school provides you with a dream school community. Leadership that is supportive and encouraging, colleagues who are collaborative and creative, students who are eager to learn and respectful, and parents who are trusting and involved. I am often asked to compare my experience at The Greene School to my time within the public school system and quite honestly it cannot be compared. I come to work knowing that my profession is respected. Each classroom is equipped with two educators who are able to collaborate with one another to create a curriculum that is meaningful and tailored to the student's needs. We have the freedom to truly do what is best for our students while following a rigorous set of standards that encourages students to think critically. Due to the small size of classes and faculty size, you feel like you are a part of a tight-knit community. The Greene School is truly a unique place. I cannot imagine teaching anywhere else and feel grateful to be a part of this community.

We are so fortunate to have found The Greene School! Our daughter began her journey into education this September as she enrolled in The Greene Schools Early Childhood program. We could not be more impressed by her teachers ability to make learning fun and meaningful. The school day is very active as her enrichment classes include dance, drama, physical education, spanish, mandarin, art, yoga and engineering. To top it all off the school provides organic snacks and lunch made fresh daily by an in house chef! Our daughter has become a bright, joyful and curious learner and we owe it all to the dedication of a positive culture at The Greene School.

Just wanted to share our experience with other parents that are considering enrollment. Both of our daughters attended highly rated public elementary school. Overall experience was good. Our goal was to start private school at the transition to middle school, but COVID-19 gave us time to reflect and research and we decided to enroll both our daughters in Greene School for 3rd and 4th grades. We couldn’t tour the school in person, toured virtually instead. The school architecture and appearance blew us away. Modern, clean, thoughtful. Next came an interview with school principal Dr. Spirou. It was informative, yet warm conversation about school and character traits that school is emphasizing. After that , we decided to put our trust in Greene School. Best thing that we ever did for our family. Even though we’re in the middle of pandemic, our girls radiate happiness and confidence. Not only they are gaining knowledge, they are also developing many different skills and hands-on experiences that public schools can’t offer and some of private schools neglect. Our diner conversations became passionate discussions as kids are introduced to wide spectrum of topics. Progress report overview with teachers puts us as parents at ease: even though both girls aren’t excelling in some fields, school program allows them strengthen their weaknesses while still excelling in the strong fields instead of focusing on the negative as often public schools do. Even though we had eventful and fun Christmas break, both of our daughters were counting days to get back to school. Entire school has moral society feel to it. All staff is exceptionally passionate and engage kids even outside of their responsibilities. Both of our girls share with us occasional and random conversations with just about every staff member of the school. One day it would be the principal of the school, next day- custodian, school chef or another teacher. Highly recommend to tour the school and interview. Enroll only if it feels right. It truly did for us.

For several years we resisted pulling our daughter from public school and moving her to Greene. We finally made the move this year and I absolutely wish we had done it sooner. She has an incredible group of teachers, the administrative team is highly supportive, and the enrichment opportunities far exceed anything she has gotten from previous schools. As a middle school student, we feel like she is getting the best possible preparation for a rigorous high school experience and we could not be more grateful. We love the Greene School and highly recommend it!

We feel so lucky to have found The Greene School and can’t imagine our kids anywhere else. Not only are they getting an incredible education, learning in such a unique, fun, loving environment- but I know that the teachers and staff continually have my child’s best interest at heart. My kids love going to school every day, they love learning, and love the environment.

Outstanding. We have several children, one of whom is in First Grade at TGS. The teachers at TGS have made learning FUN and yet substantive at the same time throughout the whole academic year - no small accomplishment. They are challenging the children in an age appropriate way and all of those children are SO happy at what they are accomplishing. For example, in First Grade they were studying US Presidents in Social Studies and then each student was assigned a different President to write about in Language Arts and then the class presented their work in front of the entire school and parents. It was an unbelievable presentation for a group of First Graders - albeit a group of very talented children - that spoke volumes about the excitement the teachers generated in the children and the cross disciplinary nature of the curriculum. Other unique aspects include distinct, weekly classes for Engineering, as well as Computer Science, as well as regular Science multiple times a week of course for each and every grade level. I wish our older children could have gone through First Grade at TGS! The level of the curriculum and the level of the other children in the classroom easily puts TGS above every other First Grade program we have been through and we are equally happy with the other grades at TGS. If your child is talented enough to pass the rigorous admissions process they will have a rare opportunity for an accelerated curriculum with other high achieving children. If your child spends a day in the classroom, they will come back more excited about learning than you could possibly imagine. How could you say "no" to that?

We are relatively new to the school and feel very fortunate to be here. We feel the school is very focused. The leadership is solid, and is humble, citing their teachers as the reason for their successes and happy families. But behind the scenes, the administration of this school is clearly working tirelessly set on success for their students and families. Some differences we have noticed. Our happy child is still happy when we pick him up. Our child is learning much more. This could be due to curriculum differences, special learning tools or opportunities, the teachers and or the class environment. In our previous school, we would receive on average 2 to 8 emails a day from RenWeb on homework, classwork, assignments, tests and quizzes. The nature of RenWeb email was not clear. Missing work? Not handed in? Poor grade? Eight teachers, three enrolled children, and emails via RenWeb were sent at all times of the day or weekend, depending on when the teachers input the grade. It was very disruptive to our home, especially late at night and on weekends. At TGS, we get one email at the end of the week from Schoology. So far, so good. The children that my child interacts with at TGS are bright, articulate and set on learning. At our previous school, disruptions and mean-spirited behavior slowed learning to a crawl. The lack of action from our previous school’s inexperienced administration allowed poor behavior to fester. The tolerance toward poor behavior created an anemic learning environment, and so on. TGS teachers are inspirational and competent. Rarely are teachers both of these things. The PTO at The Greene School is on it. This volunteer system is going to make sure their children have the best experiences. Another difference, after school programs. Other schools end at 2 or 3 pm. Here, TGS has a range of after school activities like prop and set design, robotics, card games and athletics that end at 4:15 pm. The school brings in professionals to discuss pertinent issues, like technology, campus and internet security, etc. We are already searching for high schools, but don’t see any school with the same kind of vision and leadership - Greene is one of a kind.

Coming to work feels like a breath of fresh air, as my passion is no longer restrained and hindered by rules and regulations that prevent me from truly meeting the needs of students. I am honored to teach along side such talented educators who are dedicated to the academic and social-emotional development of each child. Our students are viewed as so much more than a test score. Their talents are nurtured, their character is refined, and their minds are challenged. I am proud to be known as a teacher at The Greene School.

Best decision we could have made for our kids. I cannot imagine my kids being anywhere else. When you walk into The Greene School, you become so excited about all they offer that you wish you could go back to school! The amazing staff, projects, and experiences my kids are having at such a young age are all things no other school could offer. The school offers a very wonderful and diverse community of people that drive many miles to have their kids attend. It's absolutely fabulous.

We are an extremely happy Greene School family. Our daughter is in her second year and we have had an extremely positive experience from top to bottom. When I walked into the school for the first time, my immediate thought was how could any parent who is able to consider it not want their child to go to a school like this. I continue to feel that way two years later. My daughter has grown and is thriving under the loving guidance of this school. We highly recommend the Greene School.
