Overall, my child has been very happy since she moved from bak middle school. Bak is a great school but has a lot of pressure on my child. On the other hand, connistonhas been a very good school for my daughter and she has made so many friends! Really would recommend this school for your children

Overall, at my time at Conniston Middle School, I was able to be apart of many activities and had much that I learned. To begin with I was able to be in multiple school clubs which include, Math Club, Student Government, NJHS, Green Team, Chess Club, and Art club. Although in 8th grade the only club I was in was Math Club at the time. During my years in those clubs, I was able to participate in multiple activities, the two most main and recent one being able to participate in a math competition that won $300 and also being able to co-host a jeopardy game which was with pre-algebra students which I absolutely enjoyed! I definitely enjoyed my teachers as over the few years they all have been able to be kind and be able to teach great! Some teachers I would like to mention that I definitely loved their class was, Mrs. Vargas, Mrs. Terrell, Ms. Melius, Ms. Eck, Mrs. Consuegra, Mr. Henderson, and Ms. San-miguel! With my teachers, I was able to learn many things and I was able to advance in many courses, especially math, as I will be taking pre-calculus honors next year. All of my teachers this year were also able to teach great during the COVID-19 pandemic. On the topic on administrators, some can be intimidating but I still believe they do their job great, I remember at one point in my 8th grade career though, I got very nervous because I almost got in trouble with one of them during lunch for something I didn't do. During my middle school years, I had very low points in my life but the school counselor, Mrs. Muller was very helpful and kind when speaking to them. Because of them, I was able to get therapy and also have been able to talk about troubling problems I've been having. The last two things I would like to mention is that I was able to develop my leadership skills greatly and also that homework was quite difficult at times while I was in the gifted course, but most teachers gave a reasonable amount of homework, although some homework was still difficult to do, I was able to maintain straight A's my three years, except one quarter in 7th grade where I got a 89% B. Overall, I recommend Conniston Middle School!

Overall positive and better than we thought based on reviews and some local opinions. The advanced courses and teachers involved with that are wonderful. Ms. Terrell and Ms. Melius are dedicated professionals and provide quality instruction. The principal is very present and accessible. It is a diverse student body, but we have never experienced any issues with bullying or disruption in the classroom. If the ESE coordination could be improved, it would be even better. You don't need to be scared sending your kids here, and you should go to the open houses and parent nights to meet the staff and teachers.

This is one of the worst schools ever. Teachers don't know how to teach or control a classroom. There's rarely any discipline for students who're out of control or who're bullying others. Administers are extremely rude and literally don't let you explain or talk if you try to ask a question to them.

It has gone hill over the past few years and only seems to be getting worse. The teachers are trying to be cool and be friends with the kids, we know as parents that does not work. My child shouldn't be "friends" with teachers on social media, especially when the teachers are posting drinks with friends, etc. Let's keep it classy Conniston!

My child has been dealing with a substitute this whole year. Have reported him several times and not a thing has been done to help my child. Mr. Brown is still my child teacher despite the fact she is no longer in his class. He still grades her work and has her with a D. My child has never had a D. They toss my child from class to class and its been weeks since shes been in a science class room. Only excuse we get is they dont have capacity for her. Not our problem. My child shouldnt suffer because of their lack of educators.

This school year has been the happiest year since grade school. The teachers are great! They are always there to help students, and parents. I find they go above and beyond what's expected of teachers.

Conniston is okay a lot of kids do drugs,too much fights,and A lot of bad kids also some teachers don't care about all we do is notes that don't even help us and they have an after school that is really good and they have avid and ib and the principal is Good
