I have two children at this school and have had nothing but great experience with it. I was apprehensive about sending them from previous reviews and ratings but love it. Staff is really responsive to concerns. Communication with parents is great.

My children have attended private school, a charter school and a higher ranked public school, but this is by far my favorite! The teachers really care and bend over backwards to help my kiddos do their best. They were very helpful with identifying where my children needed help, have gotten them the services that they need to succeed, have given me tips and tools to work on at home, have offered tutoring after school and much more. My kids have only 15 students in their class, as opposed to the nearby elementary school that is rated much higher where they were in classes of close to 30 kids per teacher! They are getting the attention and care they need and I couldn't be happier. I am actually surprised that the school doesn't have a higher rating because my experience is much different than this number shows.

West End Elementary has been great to our family. We have had 3 children go through WEE and have had great experiences for years. We are fortunate to have such good school in our community. I work am proud to tell new residents about WEE. Our teachers and PTA work hard for the safety and education of our children, and also work together on raising funds.

West End Elementary is an amazing school with caring staff. Everyone is always so happy every morning, greeting all of the parents and students, "Good Morning". My daughter is in 1st grade and the amount of knowledge she has obtained over the year or so has forever exceeded our expectations. The teachers care and have the best interests of their students at heart and all of the staff is so protective, caring, and welcoming to all of the parents and students. I have been able to reach out to teachers and staff on several occasions and have always been able to find a solution to any issue that may have arose. I couldn't have asked for a better school for our children to receive their educations.

West End Elementary is a good school. My son is in kindergarden, and they have a great reading teacher that I think has really helped my son to progress with his reading. Also the school kept getting new students, and when his class became over corwded they created a new kindergarden/first grade combination class.....at first I was apprenhisive to moving him three months into the school year, but smaller class rooms seem to work better and the teacher is good.

The teachers are excellent, friendly and give constant feedback on the students' progress. WEE has a strong PTA and a great sense of community. I feel confident that my child is getting a great education and he is also having a lot of fun.

West End Elementary is a good school and the teachers try hard in their jobs. Sometimes the emphasis on EOG scores is overdone, but you can find this throughout North Carolina. The pressure to perform is great for students, and they get weary of it, especially at the end of the year. West End is a small town and nepotism is big with parents and teachers. Overall, it's a good school and the academics are first class.
