My children have been at West Bountiful for the past two years, and it has been a wonderful experience. My younger son has social difficulties, and I was amazed at the administrations willingness to work with him and deal with his issues. The principal has always been willing to meet with us and deal with any issues that arise. The teachers have worked with us as well and have done so much to help my son adjust and fit in. The students are so nice, and I feel like this school has a wonderful atmosphere where the focus of staff is on the children. I would recommend this school to anyone.

This school is awful! We love West Bountiful but the school is truly a disappointment. Our child has been bullied by his teacher in front of classmates. Our child cries at least 3 Times a week these past 2 months because he doesn't want to go. 50/50 percent chance your child will have a great teacher or a teacher who really hates children

This is by far one of the worst schools you could bring your child to. It is harmful, destructive, and sexist against men. I sent my boy in knowing simple addition and subtraction, and by the time i pulled him out, he had lost the brain power and self-confidence to add 2 digit numbers. The only reason you would send your kid here is if you wanted their mind and spirit to be deminished.

Most of the teachers my kids have had at this school have been terrible. And the principle seems to be on some kind of power trip. But the teachers my kids have this year are great (otherwise I was ready to find an alternative). The school's test scores rate us as one of the worst in our district. :( But the families and other parents are super nice. The atmosphere among the teachers and administrators at the school is very strained. However, the children get along well. There seems to be less cliques and bullies at this school. Everyone includes everyone else. That could be due to the great atmosphere of West Bountiful in general and how inclusive parents are of each other.

My children attend this school. It is a wonderful school. The teachers are great and the new principle is really moving and shaking the school in the right direction.

I went to school here when I was a kid, moved out of the area, then came back and put my kids in the school. Big mistake. The Police station right next door was updated with the latest materials, very nice inside, while the school was just as it was when I was a kid 30 years ago. Tells you where the priorities are in West Bountiful.

Two of my children attented West Bountiful Elementary for the entirety of K-6 with mostly positive experiences. However, my third child attended until 5th grade when there was a change in the administration at the school. We found that the focus of the new leadership changed and the education, safety, care and general well being of the students was not the main goal any longer. My child, who noramlly loved school started crying every morning and calling nearly everyday to come home. His medical condition (IBS) was ignored. Several times he was sent to the counselo'rs office, without my knowledge or consent. The many times I contacted the principal to voice my concerns and to reach out for help I was simply brushed aside with comments like, "That is the way we handle things here", "I am sorry that troubles you, but it is our policy" and the last conversation ended with " I have already decided, and there is nothing more to address." At that my son was removed from the school. He started at a new school and is now back to enjoying school and doing very well.

Terrible school the office staff is not helpful at all and not willing to listen to any problems. The principal tries to make her problems everybody elses. We took our kids out after one year of misery. I think that if the principal was more wiling to help the teachers would be more motivated to teach.
