One. All around a one. It is a school that overpays high school teachers and u see teaches the high school kids. They on average are BELOW the curve. They all bullying and blatant mistreatment of the “non-popular” kids. They ignore and dismiss legitimate accounts of bullying EVEN WHEN WITNESSED. The teachers are inconsistent across the board.

We have had a great experience with this school. At first we considered private schools for the kids, but ended up wanting to try out our local school. BMU has been great. The only thing that doesn't make me give them 5 stars is the fact that they don't think about newbies. The school is geared toward people who have lived in the area forever, whose parents and grandparents went to the school, but if you are new, there are lots of things that aren't intuitive. We were forever finding out neat things the kids should be involved in at the last minute. Forget the website (if you are new). It tells you jack. But the teachers? The educational experience? On par with some of the best schools I had growing up in Los Angeles. Mrs Gonyaw is the best Kindy teacher I have met in years. The pre-school (Mrs Bogie) is great too. BMU is really a gem and most parents are active and phenomenal.

I attened Blue Mountain and the school was wonderful. I was very prepared for college upon leaving the school!
