This school is amazing. The teachers go out of their way to be helpful and try to resolve any problems may present themselves as the students grow and mature.

This school was amazing when we moved here, but changes in administration and much of the staff has left it a different school. The principal rarely responds to parental concerns. He has been caught bad mouthing those parents he doesn't like creating a hostile environment. The school board doesn't approve of many administrator decisions but rarely takes a stand. Rules for students are often arbitrary and only apply to some students. My heart breaks for how this school has gone downhill.

Absolutely love Butteville! Fostering an environment of kindness, respect, responsibility & safety has been shown by teachers & administrators. So thankful my children get to attend!

Butteville is a great school! I have two children who attend this school and they love it! The school has a great staff who are caring towards students and education. The school has a positive, family feel to it. There are many extracurricular activities such as band, string, choir, track, basketball, and volleyball. They had a special week in the spring called "Artist in Residency" where they brought in local artists to teach classes a different medium of art. Each class ended up with a finished project. The PTO puts on a Art and Wine Auction each fall where the student art work, as well local artists' pieces are auctioned off. They have many enriching activities for the whole student body, such as Egg Drop, Social Studies Day, Science Fair, and Career Day. They also had a 3 week summer camp for kids (for a small cost). Butteville offers a lot in a small community. I am very happy my children are part of this community!

The school is comparable to most schools. The teachers are hit and miss. There are extra activities now offered for students. The admin is very aware of the need to retain students and openly "competes" for student enrollment running it like a business. If you have a child going into 2nd grade be aware that it is a sit down, be quiet, do your worksheet classroom. The upper grades do work harder to challenge your students. As earlier stated it is a run of the mill school. No academic pushing, no great use of technology, and no outdoor classes. Lunches are USDA funded and with that comes minimal nutrition. I hope this helps give a good general knowledge.
