    Waukee Elem has been a great school. The leaders are always prompt in discussing my concerns and addressing any issues - kids are still kids but W.E. Does a great job with The Leader In Me curriculum to help students grow and learn.

    There is little to no communication regarding grades. When their report cards come out you feel like you are slapped across the face. Bullying is horrible, and the school denies everything until you prove it in black and white. Then after the horrible year is over, you get slapped in the face with a bad report card and you weren't even aware your child was struggling. To top it off, your kid is claiming they faked the grades (which makes sense because they didn't tell you your child was struggling). To top it all off, the town itself is hostile, like the children at the school. I regret moving here every day and subjecting my children to this horrible school and town.

    This is a great school! Brand new building and wonderful teachers who care. Very impressed mom new to elementary schools (my son is in kindergarten)
