The teachers are thoughtful and their awareness towards the development of each student is incredible. The administration been very supportive and great at communicating. This is especially important considering the last few years. We feel very informed and appreciative all of their efforts

We have 2 children at Robert Crown and we could not be happier with the school, especially considering the considerable strain that was placed upon it due to COVID. Fortunately the kids are now back in school full time and are really starting to blossom. We have one child who requires extra help and the difference this has made has been nothing short of shocking. We are relative newcomers to the area and a huge selling point was the school district. Thus far it has not disappointed.

I couldn't be any happier with our experience. Both of my kids have had great teachers. They worked with my kids to help them thrive. They were caring and had great control of the classroom. I was so very impressed! Their support staff is wonderful too. Very involved and willing to work with the children. Leadership is friendly and welcoming. They interact great with the parents too.

Wonderful school and staff. We have been there for 4 years and have had great teachers. All very experienced! The principal is very accommodating and great to work with too.

Moved from a great school district (54) and was worried this school was not going to be as good as the previous one however glad to see my child performing well.

My children have been on every spectrum of the learning curve. At Robert Crown, they work to make sure that every student excels no matter what level they learn at. My son had an IEP. He received special services under the program and the staff makes sure that children are not treated differently for leaving the classroom for these services. My daughter is in the advanced math class. Spelling, reading and math are broken out by abilities starting in 1st grade. Every teacher, therapist, principal and assistant principal have been responsive to all of my questions and concerns. Despite there being over 900 children, the principal and assistant principal go out of their way to know them all. I have seen both the principal and assistant principal leading groups in the classrooms. If leading by example is what makes a school successful, than we are so lucky to have Mrs. Diol and Miss Picchetti. Most teachers welcome parent helpers. We still have parties at holidays and celebrate student birthdays. Our PTO has numerous events throughout the year for the entire family and offers many opportunities to volunteer without being pushy. I cannot say enough good things!

Robert Crown Elementary in Wauconda, IL provides a great environment for my kids to learn and grow. They are excited to go to school every morning, they love their teachers every year, they love the friends they make there and I love the values they teach beyond the curriculum in the classroom. Robert Crown teaches kids how to be their own person and respect those around them. I have observed great growth in how our girls develop as students and people because of Robert Crown. The school literally gets better every year and the town continues to grow. I will be sad when our girls move out of Robert Crown into the Middle School but I know they will be prepared for success based on their time at Robert Crown Elementary.

I feel especially capable of giving Robert Crown high marks for teacher quality, principal leadership, and parent involvement. After a disappointing few years at a local private school where the educators focused on what your child was NOT doing, Robert Crown focuses on what they CAN do! They see the potential for success in every child and create a plan to support them academically, socially, and emotionally. The leaders at this school, Carrie Diol and Angela Pichetti, and the teachers are very accessible for communication and seem to know every child by name! The teachers we have experienced so far are very experienced. Whether they are looking for unique ways to motivate and keep you child focused, or responding to parent communication, its apparent that they are committed to the children. Parental involvement through PTO sponsored activities is very high and they are always welcoming to new members. We are so happy to be at Robert Crown School!

Robert Crown is a wonderful place for you children to grow up. The staff at Robert Crown are caring and compassionate. They truly want students to do their best. Staff are so welcoming of parent volunteers and foster a team approach to learning. The school is staffed with so many specialists to assist children when needed extra support. I feel so fortunate that my children attend such a wonderful place to learn and grow.

This school has been excellent for my daughter who is now entering the 4th grade. She has improved her math skills significantly, and I think that is in no small part due to the hard work of her teachers. I think it's a great school that gets overlooked.

Robert Crown - The teachers and new principle and assistant principle have been wonderful with working with my child. They have made a big difference in her academics and social skills. They don't give up - they keep trying different ways to help your child. Thumbs up to this team of teachers.

My wife and I love Robert Crown Elementary school. We really liked our daughter's previous elementary school in Grayslake, where she attended K through 2, but then we had nothing else to compare that school to until know, because she is our first to attend school. The teachers at our old school were phenomenal, but the total education experience at Robert Crown is head and shoulders above our previous elementary school. We stopped in at the school this summer and were greeted most enthusiastically by the Principal, himself (who is retiring this year--we congratulate him!) From Math to PE to Art to Music to Recess, my daughter is ecstatic with the school and I am ecstatic with her math progress. At my daughter's previous school they were not allowed to touch the snow at recess--at RC they go sledding at recess--wow, we went from hyper-retentive school to "cool old school." Now, to many parents this may not be a significant point, to me it illustrates how much better the vibe can be from one elementary school to another. Many little things make a big thing and there are so many little things that make a difference for us at Robert Crown. We are giving two thumbs up :-) to RC!
