My child failed 9th grade not only because of the school staff but because of unwillingness of a parent to send the child to school. Or even talk with school staff to put a tutor in place. 100 days of school missed us educational neglect. NYS allows a child to drop out at the age of 15 / 16 prior to turning 17yrs with parental consent. This school and many other schools are NOT trained to educate children with disabilities. Important Read below.......Because the decision of aparent is not agreeable to a child orbecause it involves risks does notautomatically transfer the power tomake that decision from the parentsto some agency or officer of thestate. - Parham v. This school did nothing when I was bullied by students and belittled by teachers. I was majorly depressed when I left the high school and it went almost completely away after just a few months. This school is awful!

its so bad everyone gets disrespected if your a minority

Pretty good school, but needs to rid itself of the block scheduling and do something about the band students who walk around like they own the school, and are constantly disrespectful towards teachers and fellow students. The district should also rid itself of the Superintendent, who has done nothing during his long tenure at the school.

I had a child who went to this school. After many discussions with both the principle and the guidance councelor we removed our child from this school. Very long story short....There is no control and clear direction at this school. While we did like the elementary grades and found the middle school acceptable, the high school is lacking in solid guidance. My child went from barely passing grades to High Honors once we moved.
