I am a teacher who knows the school systems inside and out and observing this school from my son's perspective, I know it is an excellent institution for wellness, academia, and creativity. They have one of the greatest art and STEM programs I have ever seen. What they do is incredible and the time allotted is much appreciated. My son who has been going there for 3 years now is excited every day he comes home. He loves it. The parent outreach and activities they have on campus from the art shows to Halloween events stand above the rest. Truly amazing stuff happening in this wonderful community. Thank you Bancroft.

I've been a parent at Bancroft for 3 years now and i love our school. I have a 3rd grader and kindergartener. The school is amazing! We have engaging teachers, a very involved PFC that funds programs like Art, Steam, Music and Garden, a very dedicated, smart and wonderful principal, a good mix students and families from all backgrounds and overall a really nice school community. I'm so happy my kids are at Bancroft. Go Bobcats!

I loved seeing my daughter blossom at Bancroft. Her reading level climbed quickly (as did math) and she loved the gardening and art classes. I could tell the teachers, administrative staff and Principal all put forth the utmost care and love for the students. It was apparent on a day to day basis they loved their jobs and the students. I have a unique home situation (full time single parent) and they were very supportive of my unique needs and questions. My daughter gained many advantages from being a student here.

Excellent. Our three children have each had success there despite three very different learning styles

Bancroft has become way too crowded. Unfortunately, when the TWDI program was incorporated to the school, it added so many students, that it is bursting at the seams! The TWDI program is a wonderful concept, however the additional student population has caused the school to lose valuable classroom space such as the Art room, the Computer Lab, and there are now pods on the playground. What once was a sweet neighborhood school, is now a zoo. Many parents have to drop their kids off in the Safeway parking lot and hop a fence, b/c logistically there is no other choice. Just another example of MDUSD trying to do something good (adding a great program) but with no foresight, or plan in place. So disappointing.

Our child is enrolled in the dual immersion Spanish/English program and it has been excellent so far.

I have only words of praise and thank to Bancroft Elementary and it's Principal Mrs. Schuler We've moved from a different country, and they were incredibly welcoming and supportive. They helped our girl to catch up with the language and the level. And helped my family to connect also with other families and make friends. The community is awesome, the facilities are very nice, and the staff is very professional and caring. Mrs. Schuler is there every single day, she knows every kid, she is always on top of everything. She is really amazing. I've evaluated all WC schools before choosing a house (by the district), and I'm extremely happy on our choice.

Bancroft is a fantastic community school. The parents work hard, both to fundraise, as well as to support the teachers and the classrooms. The parents are down to earth and welcoming. And one of the things I am most struck by is how much the faculty LOVE teaching here and how devoted they are to the Principal. Yes, the classes are too big. But that is a district/state problem, not one of Bancroft's doing. Hopefully California will step funding back up to appropriate levels soon. And no, we don't manage to fundraise as much as some other local elementary schools. but we raise more than a lot of them too! and honestly i don't mind that. we are down to earth, hard working people. what more does an elementary school need?!

The best, Bancroft is what happens when everyone works hard. Parents fundraise and run many programs. Staff is ver personable and professional.

I feel the classes are over crowded, the office staff is unfriendly and rude, and my experiences with the teachers have not been pleasant. My children have been bullied by students and ignored by teachers. Its not a friendly environment nor is it a positive learning environment. We've not been happy since we started at this school.
