The education, environment and community couldn't be a better fit for our daughter and family. Supportive staff, dedicated teachers and terrific parents all support our child's educational and social successes. I can't say enough.

We fell in love with the school shortly after our kids started. They were supposed to go for a year, but it's 8 years later and they will graduate from The Village School next year. It is such a warm and nurturing environment. The Village School fosters a love of learning for all the children as well as creating well rounded students. Children are encouraged to become more independent and learn how to pace themselves with their work. They learn how to do public speaking and are encouraged to participate in the classroom. The teachers are amazing and go above and beyond what they need too. All students get a lot of personalized attention. I cannot say enough good things about this amazing school.

Truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this great school. Excellent faculty and focus on educating the whole child. There is a focus not just on stellar academics, but on developing critical thinking skills, social and emotional development, and care and respect for community. A true gem - so glad to have found this school and have my son receive such an excellent education.

The Village School is truly a special place. Fully accredited, top notch Montessori education, robust curriculum and super talented teachers, but also with a focus on the whole child and lots of individualized attention. Lots of outdoor space and outdoor time for the kids, and a really warm and supportive community. Best of all, my kids love school, they love their teachers, and they love learning, and that to me says it all.

The Village School is exceptional, not just with its curriculum and academics, but truly educating the whole child. It teaches not for the child to memorize, but to master and understand fully the concepts. They also hold executive functioning as a corner stone in its approach to education, something many children are loosing these days. It has structure, a robust and rigorous academic curriculum, and their enrichment programs harken back to what we used to have as children (woodworking, maker space, sewing, engineering, robotics, chess). They also teach Spanish beginning at the toddler level all the way through to eighth grade. We couldn’t be happier that our children have thrived there and call it home.

It is joyous to see your child love learning and be excited to go to school every day. The Village School has cultivated and encouraged my child's learning confidence. It is comforting to know my child is in a nurturing and challenging educational environment that promotes confidence and discovery. The Village School cultivates the whole child and addresses a child's social, emotional and educational needs. Sending my child to this school was one of the best decisions. The school also has excellent support staff - nurses, counselors and educational consultants.

This school has given us exactly what we were looking for in a learning environment, mainly teaching children to love learning in a hands-on and dynamic environment. We are very happy there.

I love this school, its teachers, directors and parents. It is a model of both rigorous academics and positive social and emotional development for children.

My children have had 2 different experiences at the school, both being wonderful! They are able to work ahead of their level without having to be told to 'take a test' or 'everyone has to be working at the same level'. They also provide support when needed in any area deemed necessary.

Very unhappy. A smart child should be able to succeed in a school and not get lost. This school was a severe disappointment. This is not a true montessori education. I believe the school must have been great, but something has changed in the past 2-3 years. The school needs to be evaluated and managed better.

Hands down the best decision we could have made was to enroll our son in the Village School! Each morning he is excited about what he is going to learn that day, how he is going to challenge himself, and how he is going to work within his school community. His individualized weekly work plan not only challenges him in subjects like math and reading but also emphasizes grace and courtesy. Truly an amazing place where the focus is on the whole child.

The school is great if you want a montessori education for your children. The students, parents and faculty are kind and caring, and there is a strong sense of community at the school. The facility is up to date with a lot of recent additions.

Our daughter begs to go to school on the weekends. I think this says a lot about the school. Each child is treated as an individual and the teachers know how to focus on the children's strengths while gently encouraging them to overcome their weaknesses. The teachers and families are outstanding. We couldn't be happier.

We love The Village School, a true Montessori environment that focuses on educating the whole child & developing a lifetime love of learning. Montessori is well known for preschool; however, the K-8 programs are amazing as well. In K-8th Grade there are personalized work plans so each child is challenged & learns to take responsibility for their own learning. The 7th&8th Graders develop personalized study skills & use a 2 week planner to help prioritize/plan their workload. Self-motivation, critical thinking, multi-tasking, prioritization, public speaking, conflict resolution - these are critical life skills that are part and parcel of the environment at the school. They DO NOT stress testing which helps nurture a true love of learning for the sake of learning itself. Our children's education dovetails with our parenting decisions/ family philosophy. The parent community is wonderful, welcoming & active, a collection of like minded people who have actively sought out this ideal Montessori environment. We feel so lucky to have this option available to us.

We looked all over the place at many schools before we settled on the Village School and we have been extremely happy ever since. They practice true Montessori education and take it all the way from Pre-K to 8th grade. Many parents start here thinking it will just be for pre-school and the kids do so well that they stay through 8th grade. We just watched the sixth graders give speeches to a packed auditorium on their "Expert Project" for the year. These kids had more confidence speaking at a podium than many adults I know! And the school is also expanding now with a big new building addition and also existing building renovations. The parent community is great as well. Very down to earth and supportive. I could not recommend this school more highly!

The Village school is an amazing well rounded education!! I have seen my boys become independent students who are very confident in their own abilities. In all the years they have attended the school they have never expressed on any day that they don't wish to attend. They have developed such a love of learning, they are curious, interested in research and have the ability to think outside the box! The teachers are amazing and really know the children. It is a school where the teachers really want to be there. Their passion for teaching and the joy they get when helping a child is so obvious. These are teachers that don't just teach to the test! The children from toddlers through to the middle school are one big happy community that works together giving the children an educational foundation for a life time. I highly recommend this school to those who really care if their child is going to get a whole child education!
