We have had nothing but good experiences with Royal oaks so far. They have adapted great with the pandemic. I love how the principal and vice principal are so involved with the kids. My son really enjoys going to school there.

My son has been going to Royal Oaks since he was in 3rd grade and his teachers have always been helpful and maintained open communication. The ladies in the front office are always so friendly and helpful whenever I have needed them.

Royal oaks elementary school has a rude secretary. They don't seem to care about the students that go there. It used to be a great school when Mrs. Tate was the principal.

I have had grandchildren attending this school for over 11 years. Overall, I am extremely impressed with Royal Oaks. Their exceptional teachers, caring atmosphere, extra circular activities and willingness to go the extra mile for each individual student has always impressed me. Parental involvement was a big part of this I'm sure. That being said, I've noticed some differences lately....perhaps because of the economy. Classrooms are larger. There seems to be less parental involvement. Picking up or dropping off children is always a challenge. There is still plenty of school spirit and activities for the children and I feel this is one of the best elementary schools available in Visalia. The principal is new this year. I would like to see more tutoring or after school programs offered for those who want/need it.

This use to be a great school but do to the recent budget cuts, class sizes and more importantly the lack of parental support it has taken a serious toll on the school. There seems to be a trend of lower class people who are now in the district and it shows 100% through their children and lack of participation within the school. Looks like my children will be at Oak Grove or Linwood Elementary next year.

Royal Oaks is wonderful academically and my family member was challenged by the wonderful teacher in his classroom. I am rating only a years experience as he is being home schooled until he is able to return to his old school. Bullying is a real problem. . The cafeteria and playground are not supervised very well and for my family member, it became a miserable experience. This child is in the top 3% in all tested areas and left the school because of fear. The administration turned a blind eye to the bullying situation.
