Been to 3 schools in the VB area and this has been my kids absolute favorite. So happy we bought our home in this district.

When my family moved to this area, we chose our home based on the school. It has easily one of the best decisions we have made. Both of my children have made great strides academically and they both love this school.

Very friendly, involved office staff. Remembered our names and felt like family when we would visit.

Student teacher ratio is stated as 20:1 but my grandson is in 1st grade at Centerville and there are 30 kids in his classroom with only 1 teacher and no teacher aid. Also they do have PE every day which is nice but they have absolutely no recess, not even lunch recess. My grandson did great at his old school which had a class size of 17 but is really struggling at this school.

My family are in love with this school. The teachers and staff make each child special. Hands down this is the best elementary school my children have attended (military family).

We absolutely and truly love this school. The office staff is great and helpful. They are very polite and hands-on. The teachers we have had for the past 5 years have been fantastic and have helped our son grow. The kids are pretty well mannered and the school takes one extra step than many other schools to maintain discipline! We love this area as well and we cannot wait for our second child to start at centerville next year! PTA is awesome but definitely can use more help from the other families!! Mr. Chowns the new principal and Dr. Dimaggio are doing a great job with the students!

I used to go here but I hate to admit it because it sucked, they have some great teachers like Mrs.Creamer and Mr.Scales but a lot of it is horrible horrible staff. They are awful and I hope if I come back to this district with children so they can go to Brandon they wont go to Centerville for elementary that is for sure.

Nothing has changed at centerville, the principal isn't involved with the students. There is little diversity in the school's staff and teachers. After reviewing the school's test scores Minority students have the lowest success in all subjects and SOL scores. This is mainly because of the leadership at the school and some of the teachers who profile the students. This school needs a new principle fast.

We are a military family who has returned to the area and Centerville Elementary. The teachers are wonderful!! I was so happy to bring my children back. There has been a change in the administration since we were here last and that is a big disappointment. At one time this school had an over abundance of volunteers but struggles now. They may even dissolve the PTA. That is do mostly to the current principal and he own lack of interest in the school. She is not there most of the time. The school and teachers are an A+ but the principal is an E. Luckily the teachers have held up the previous principals standard. It will be nice when someone who can do something about it finally notices and a more involved principal replaces the current one.

I have been a volunteer at Centerville for 13 years. The teachers are professional and care for the well being of their students. I have been associated with 5 principals at this school and have nothing but rave reviews about all but one. Unfortunately, that one is there now. I have never seen a a principal who misses so many days at the ofiice as this one. Someone needs to look into this. I rate the teachers a 5+. I rate the principal a 1.

I have two children that attended Centerville for three years and I can't say enough good things about the school. I first have to thank the office staff as well as Mrs. Bare for being so warm and friendly and always so helpful. I also would like to thank the nurse Mrs. Miller for being so great with my kids and any medical issues they had. Mr. Scales, you really are an inspirational teacher and will be missed greatly. I wish art was something the children could of had five days a week. And for all the other teachers who did such a wonderful job with the kids, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Crichton, both Mrs. Hobbs, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Fish, and Mrs. McConnell.....thank you for everything. We will miss you Centerville and hope that we are fortunate enough to have as good of an experience at the new school.
