This school provided the best four years for my child. The curriculum was challenging and the out of class activities provided were excellent. Would recommend parents enroll their children into this school

Upland High school has so many AP classes! They are very difficult but they teach way better than the college prep. Only go here for Their amazing AP program!

This school is terrible. The teachers do not do their job, the students are despicable, and this school is way too overcrowded. I'm so glad I transferred my kids to Rancho Cucamounga High School. I would not recommend this high school to anyone, and I feel bad for people who have to attend.

I'm a junior and it has been a memorable experience with great people.

I am currently a junior at Upland High. When deciding on what high school to go to, I almost didn't go to UHS, but I am so glad that I did. I am very involved in the AP program, and the selection of AP courses offered here is amazing. I truly think that this is the best school in the area for AP students. However, there is definitely a divide between the AP students and those in regular classes at UHS. Teachers care about students' success for the most part, but I do think that our science department is lacking overall. There are so many groups and clubs to get involved with, and some of the most popular ones are choir, band, CSF, debate, and Key Club. Athletics at UHS are pretty good, especially varsity football, soccer, and basketball. Athletic programs are run well, and are intense but not overbearing. I have never witnessed bullying so far in my 3 years at Upland, but proctors are around campus in case something goes wrong. Drugs aren't uncommon (just like any high school), but are easy to avoid. Upland is very diverse, and there is definitely a place for everyone on campus! Kids from Upland go to top colleges each year (Harvard, Stanford, USC, etc.), showing that you get out what you put in.

Very poor school. Many kids walk off campus and no one seems to notice. There are also many drugs being taken right on campus in front of proctors. However, no one seems to notice. Schools should be enforcing education, not letting kids minds wander to negative influences.

You simply cannot find a better school in the area. My child is a Junior and an AP student, though he performs normally academically. He does very well at Upland and after moving to Rancho and later La Verne, we both decided to turn down both Los Osos, and Bonita to stay at Upland. My other son, at Bonita, is on track to transfer to Upland next semester. Upland runs a professional program with competent administration and overall very good teachers. If you don't think so, take a look or drop by other schools. You don't get the polite hellos and smiles that you do at Upland's offices, you get sneers and whatevers. Their sports program is a wonderful example of how a high school athletics program should be ran. Professional but not overbearing. Academically, the school does very well and gets better every year. There tends to be *A* social gap, but it's not as bad here. The new, current principal runs the school very well. At first, I thought Osos and Bonita were better schools, but after dealing with both, Upland continues to shine above the rest. If you disagree, go ahead and head on over to other schools. They don't offer all that Upland does, and UHS does it better!
