My child has been bullied by her classmates at this school, and the teachers did nothing to help. The teachers mistreated her, and the counselors never listened to her when she spoke up. Most days, she would come back home crying. The teachers were rude, and one time a teacher wouldn't let her go to the restroom for the entire day until school ended. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone.

This is my 2nd review, and I realized it replaced the previous one several months ago. Unfortunately, I cannot do it a second time.this is the truth, and it's 100% real. Our principal is the best and hardworking. All of the teachers are highly rated. All of the parents of the students in the class look good. My child has been attending from Step-Up Preschool and is now in kindergarten. The kindergarten hours from Monday to Friday are from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, which is longer than in other cities. I am not sure about elementary classes yet, but from Step-Up Preschool to kindergarten, we are extremely satisfied. My child is the only Asian girl in this Class, and there are few or no Asians in this school. What are you afraid of? Searching for schools just by numbers is not right. I have been in the e-commerce business for over 21 years, and I do recognize what is true or fake. I think it all depends on students' abilities, parents, and students' behaviors. If I rate my girl, she is at level 5 to 6 because she is an English learner and has a long way to go. We also emphasize teaching our girl a lot of behaviors. If I rate this school, it's at level 8. (Preschool ~ Kinder) , I have always wondered why it's so underrated. The Upland School Unified system is really satisfying, and the police station is right next door, making the area very safe

I have put both my children through Sierra Vista. Mrs Wickum by far is the best principal I have ever seen. Her dedication to the school supersedes all expectations. Mrs Castro and Mrs Peters are two dedicated teachers who care about the children like they are their own. I enjoy all the PTA events they offer-especially the free after school activity classes and my kids loved the school dance last year. My children have been blessed to be a part of this school.

My daughter attended from k to 6. My son was part of the very first step-up pre school class and we moved away after he finished fourth grade. We experienced two great principals with mostly wonderful staff. Earned CA distinguished school right before switching principals several years ago and though the staff is mostly the same, looks like the demographic is changing....for the worse and the Eagle pride isn't the same. We supported our kids' teachers and classes several days a week, but stayed clear of the pta and their regular drama. Sad how those parents behave worse than the kids they claim to support.

This is a truly great school and I was very happy both the the preschool when my son went here (he is SDC) and now that my daughter who is typical attends. The staff is very nice, homework is age appropriate, and parents are involved. My daughter had previously been in a small private school so I was very worried about her transition. The staff is very nice in the office too which is a big help as a parent. The only reasons is is not 5 starts is the location makes it hard to get in and out with traffic and often the crosswalk areas are not manned during busy times. We also had a bad experience in the large kindergarten class but all other teachers have been great. I also would love a school calendar with all events earlier in the year. Very good school.

My daughter has loved every teacher she has had. The principal has a great reward system for high achievers. I love the sense of community. I will be sad to see Ms. Benson leave. I hope the new principal is just as good if not better.

Sierra Vista is a wonderful school. Mrs Benson the Principal really goes out of her way to make sure that ALL the kids succeed. The teachers are committed and are excellent. I love how Mrs. Benson gets these kids encouraged and motivated with special prizes and she has a great attitude. I have 3 kids and now that my two older girls no longer go to this school they have wonderful memories. My son will be a 6th grader this year and we will miss this school when he leaves..

Wonderful staff, caring principal, clean and nice grounds. Looks like test scores are going up every year over the past 5 years or so. Quite an accomplishment.
