My journey at James Logan High School wasn't marked by academic excellence, but little did I know that those experiences would shape the path to my success today. While I wasn't the top student, the diverse environment and supportive community at the school provided a fertile ground for personal growth and exploration.Today, as the founder of my own tech company, I've come to realize that success is not solely defined by grades or classroom achievements. Logan taught me the importance of resilience, adaptability, and finding one's passion. It was through these values that I discovered my true calling in the tech industry. The diverse backgrounds and perspectives I encountered during my time at Logan have proven to be invaluable. They taught me to think critically, communicate effectively, and collaborate with a range of people, skills that are fundamental to my role as an entrepreneur.Looking back, I can appreciate how the patient and supportive teachers in the ICL college prep program played a pivotal role in my journey. They believed in my potential and nurtured my growth, which ultimately motivated me to strive for success beyond the classroom. As the founder of a tech company, I'm not only pursuing my passion but also contributing to the ever-evolving landscape of technology. James Logan High School may not have witnessed my academic brilliance, but it sowed the seeds of determination and resilience that continue to drive my success today. In the end, it's not about where you start, but where you're headed. My time at James Logan High School taught me that success is a journey, and sometimes the most unexpected paths lead to the most extraordinary destinations.

The education at JLHS is subpar. Rather than giving the students a strong and solid foundation, the curriculum is heavily geared to pushing teachers person world views. This infiltrates courses from history to English to their required Life Skills and ethnic studies courses. It also takes time away from actual learning skills and knowledge that would help them in their career choices and college paths. Many teachers rely on group projects where students rely on internet searches to write up one slide a piece and loose out on learning by actually reading a book. Having parented through this, it is important parents actually see the assignments and keep a close watch on their assignments.

you could not get a chance at UC CSU Or private college admissions after graduation from JLHS too many things missed in class wasted time if this was congress idea of school horrible like we are students in a prison not learning the teachers they to boil the students over suspend you and get you kicked out they have no job so the best thing to do is to keep bullying students not cool, move to another city no way here and many staff have changed over the years some teachers and principals have left this NHUSD school district because the entire NHUSD school district can't be trusted do not send your kids to any NHUD school

Get your child out of here as soon as possible, if you must stay in the area I highly recommend you transfer them to Conley Caraballo High School In their sophomore year and then transfer them back to Logan in the 2nd semester of their senior year if you want to give them a chance to go to a CSU or UC.

I went to high school here and I think it gives you many opportunities to grow and the teachers really help you if you are struggling. I went straight to a 4 year university after graduating from James Logan and am now obtaining my MBA. I think it really helps students grow and prepares them for college.

The school has way to many students for the teachers to keep up with, my daughter attended here for only 9th grade and it was very bad, the teachers don't teach anything, all the students just spend time on the computers and the teachers don't seem to care to teach. I had to move my daughter before it was too late, her college career was at risk if she stayed at this school. So if you have a 9th grade student going in to stohpmore year please don't leave them at this school because stohpmore year is one of the most important years yet!

Great school to go to plenty of ethnicities to mingle with and to learn from. Enjoyed the varieties of activities and sports. The school is big helps to give you a college feel. Parks near by and places to eat after school and the teachers are really understanding and caring.

JLHS is the best high school ever!!! I went here 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades!!! (All high school grades...) I graduated here in 1998... My son is enjoying it! He says its the best high school ever!!! He is in basketball and he currently going into his junior year!!! But there is just one thing... He says that there has been a lot of fights at Logan and he says that it should stop... In my high school years there weren't fights and bullies... I love Logan and always will!!! Logan has been such a great school!!! GO COLTS!!!

I am an alumni of JLHS! I couldn't have asked for a better academic, athletic & social experience. This school has so many different cultures, and the school acknowledges and supports each culture. Educating students and helping to open their minds and be sensitive about other students and their cultures. Teachers care about their students and want their students to succeed.

I am an alumni of this high school. Logan is a mixed bag - a shopping mall school of sorts. The sheer size of the student body is what makes this school what it is. Naturally, kids who do not have an academic drive will find others who are like-minded and will not do well in school. However, those who do care about their education and wish to succeed will find teachers, a plethora of programs, and other students who are more than willing to help. The test scores mostly reflect the majority of students who do not care about their education, so it doesn't mean that the resources for those who do care don't exist. And honestly speaking, gang fights and security problems can only involve students who wish themselves to be involved. I currently attend a well-known public university and know many friends who have graduated from James Logan who have entered UC's. There are even a few from my graduating class who now attend Harvard, Brown, and Stanford.

I currently attend JLHS and I'd have to say that it is an excellent school. The school has so many classes to offer students that most high schools in the San Francisco Bay Area don't have. They have great sports teams and if you have a child looking for a scholarship for a sport in college James Logan is one of the few schools that get's scouts from Universities. There are many clubs to join, many electives, and ROP classes that give you experience to prepare you for the classes you will take to gain the career you want to achieve. The teachers here are ones that will do what they can to help the students so long as the students show that they are willing to improve their grades or understandings on the subject. There is a program that runs through Freshman and Sophomore called ICL that has selected classes that can give your students a helping hand into getting a scholarship to a CSU or UC. There is a variety of food to eat for lunch and fit for your nutritional needs. For safety reasons they have a police officer on duty and multiple security guards to make sure students aren't cutting or doing drugs.I promise you that there is not a better school with all that JLHS has to offer
