I have two children at this school. The school itself is beautiful. The campus is clean and the amenities are very accommodating for the students and families. It is also connected to the city's Shorty Garcia Park, which is managed by Union City. It can be dirty/trashy at times, but I always see the school staff cleaning up and making sure the kids are in a clean environment when they are at recess. For the most part, the staff is very kind and supportive. I think you will always encounter some staff members that are less than welcoming, but for each of those situations I have reported this to the administration. the principal is always wiling to listen. I put the teaching at a 4 instead of a 5 because I had a bad experience with one of the teachers at the school who is still there. They were just always absent which made the experience less than ideal. Other than that, each of the teachers we have interacted with are great. My kids especially love Coach Green, Coach Sowell, Mr. Lowe, Ms. Davis and Ms. Canales. Those are their PE, Media, Music and Science teachers. I also put a 5 for special ed because there wasn't a "NA" option. Finally, I am always getting information and support offers for SEL and Family Engagement stuff. I think the school is inviting and always trying to get me involved. It's really nice that there are so many programs available, too. We have had a great experience over these last few years.

The kids enjoy their school days & seems to have a lot of fin activities each year. Overall they are doing their best.

hi there is bad staff and principle my both son go to same scholl my has liver pationet but no body listen him when someone push him kick him and they said we have to transferd to another school

All three of our children have attended Emanuele. The teachers, staff, and administration go above and beyond to see that students get what they need. Several of the teachers have taken the time to get to know my children. They love going to this school because they are challenged, engaged, and happy to be there. Go tigers!

I would give this school a high positive rating and I would be glad to tell you why. My children attended Emanuele School since kindergarten. They have always been treated well and I have never had any problems. I highly recommend this school for the loving family environment. Teachers, office staff and all other staff really care about the students and the families. There are many after school groups, the campus is gorgeous. Ms. Gina, the outreach specialist is an amazing caring woman who helps many families. Ms. Nora Moussavi also helps the community with any needs. The Principal is energetic, hardworking and always looking to improve any areas. The office staff is very friendly and greets everyone upon entering. They are helpful and kind to the students and parents. Ms. Gilmete is an amazing teacher who helped raise my child's scores from proficient to advanced. Ms. Ross is another teacher who taught our child many life lessons through her education. She allowed students to teach brief lessons to their classmates, enforcing the lesson while giving them confidence. The custodian keeps the school spotless while the lunch lady is always aware of students with allergies. The communication is high, so you always know what is going on at the school.

Emanuele has a dedicated staff of outstanding teachers and support personnel that give unconditionally their time, knowledge, and skills so that every child has the opportunity of reaching their maximum potential.

Just graduated this wonderful school!Mrs.Stettler,my teacher, taught our class to keep safe, respectful,responsible ,but there's one more,smart!She prepared me for middle school,and maybe for life.Thanks to this school I have an achivement award on my wall.I thank all my teachers but my fifth grade teacher, is my favorite.

This is a below average school with incompetent staff and obviously uncooperative principal. If you have an option please enroll your child somewhere else.

Guy Emanuele has put my younger cousin, who is supposed to be in 2nd grade, into a combined class of 1st and 2nd graders. They did so without notifying her parents and we only found out at the parent-teacher conference. We have tried contacting the principal and and she has been no help in getting her changed to another class. We've also contacted New Haven Unified but they claim that they have no control over this situation. The curriculum is the same as what my cousin learned last year so I don't even understand how they could combine these classes and expect no parents to complain.

Both of my daughters have attended this school and love it. The teachers are fantastic the campus is clean and everything is working. I've been to other schools were their bathrooms are so dirty and unkept that I'm sooo glad my daughters go to a place that actually takes pride in not only their teachers and staff, but keeping their campus clean and in good condition.

I have recently graduated this amazing school! The teachers here are so kind-hearted and spectacular! I've attended this school ever since I was in kindergarten. My last year here at Guy Emanuele was so fun, but sad at the same time. My 5th grade teacher was Mrs. Stettler. She taught me so many things that I actually started to like school!! The whole staff there was very kind to every kid and treated them fairly. By the end of the year, I had matured and had grown into an independent young lady. On the last day of school I cried so much because it was so hard to leave this fabulous school with fantastic teachers and students. This school inspired me to be myself and to speak up for what is right and wrong. I truly miss this school. I wish I could go back in time and live elementary again. If you ever drive past this school or visit it, remember this review. Guy Emanuele is the best school I had ever been to!!!!
