Negative 1000% When a child can attend one school for a few years and not know how to identify numbers, letters, or read basic words, that is Failure on the side of the education staff.

Pretty unorganized and teachers walk out frequently. Very disappointed with security and staffing including busing

2015-2016 lets start a Kindergartner was left outside, and when parents came to pick our kids we seen him playing I assumed it was one of the parents waiting in the parking lot to pick up there child until a grandparent told the pre-k Teacher and she had to go get my sons teacher and tell her and her volunteer that James was left outside. My son teacher also gave brain breaks where they listen to hip hop during class on you-tube,so glade my son learned the naynay, they are constantly yelling at the kids, anyone can pick up your child never id me or asked who I was since I never knew them after a few times I can understand but the 1st time always ask who I am, the principle is a joke. She is always hearing about it for the 1st time, As a parent that works from home I was able to drop off my son daily and hang around until the Kindergartner was in there class, so they got use to me and would yell at the kids in front of me, I went on a field trip with the Kindergartner only to see the poor kids humiliated and chastised for not having their home work, they open his folder and yell and say why don't you have your home work in front of the whole class, the boy said my mom,he was cut off and told its not your mamas responsibility is it take off a sticker, and the poor child would get up walk over and remove his sticker and the slaughter would continue, my son was home schooled for Pre-K so he was a little bit a head of others, by the end of the year they had him on the 4th grade sight word list, but he reads like a kindergartner and cant spell any of the words with out looking at them,He can identify the word if its by its self but place it in a paragraph he can not read it.After I seen them completely ruining my son education because he has a photographic memory(I guess), I had to take matters in my own hands teaching him phonics sound it out,not only sight words, but spelling words and reading,I withdrew him because his best friend started bullying him and the teacher allowed it to happen so she could teach problem solving skills, needless to say my son did fight back and got in trouble that's when I told the teacher,I knew it was happening and she told him to take care of it himself, anyways if you like failing schools. For me it was mortifying to see another black school checking all the boxes on stereotypical check list.I wish our schools was better cared for....
