Deborah Brown has a misrepresentation of what education is supposed to be. Their harsh punishments destroy the development of character. As an educator, we are supposed to build character when students are misbehaving. Suspension is for violent students that have created an unsafe environment for themselves and others. Deborah Brown's policies and procedures are extremely outdated for the society we live in. The teachers are childlike and unprofessional. The administrator is clueless when speaking to him. He never holds himself accountable for writing the Behavior Management Form. He needs to retire immediately. They often avoid speaking to the parents or the guardians of students. This school needs to be reported to the Department of Education as a disgrace to our community. Not allowing students to participate or attend their graduation is unethical and immoral. No child has misbehaved in such a manner to be left out of graduation.

People should be allowed to have the hair that God gave them. Your policy smells of self hate or racism.

I believe you are your childs first teacher and that you should not depend on a school to teach your child but i do believe in a disruptive classroom for the students to learn addition to what their parents have taught them.My son has been going there since kindergarten.I have no complaints and discipline is taught out the same at home.My son has improved so much in reading and writing. I'm so glad I took him out of TPS schools on account of the disruptive behavior disabling my child to learn his lessons.Great School

Why would hair styles that are unique to a culture of people be banned? There are many, many people who embrace their culture and wear locks in a professional manner and in good taste. I understand neat, presentable, and in good taste as a rule, but certainly not a hairstyle that is unique to a culture of people :(

We attend and we love it! I haven't had a problem with the staff. Its the same discipline we use at home. Reinforcing is awesome!

this will be my sons 2nd year and i love this school. My son did attend a TPS school and was very bored b/c the things they were teaching he already knew from home. DBS has taught my son so much in 1 year in the kindergardner. He knows more things then a kid in the 1st grade should already know. Thanks DBS for the taking the time out with my active son.
