There is one thing I don't like is their facebook page, seems only few students always on their homepage, is there something I can do to get mine on? I have never have a chance to show my kiddo her picture on their homepage, it made me sad! Should I ask who to be friend to on facebook in order to get my kiddo on the home page and that she can feel special as those who are always on? This is not fair to other kids and made me really sad. I am not certain I am the only one feel that way.

My child is a 2nd grader at Twin Peaks. In the past 3 years I have been overwhelmed by the feeling of community at this school. My child has continued her love for learning and has learned what it means to be an active participant in our community and neighborhood. All of the teachers we have had interaction with have had high expectations for both academics and behavior. I am so grateful to live in a neighborhood with a fantastic school and enjoy the benefits of excellent public education.

I am so pleased to have a child at Twin Peaks Elementary! My child is in kindergarten with Mrs. Nickle. To start off, her class is awesome for kids and parents. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I can say 100% my child is getting the best education I could hope for. I'm very thankful for all staff members, PTF, community who come together to help!!! Awesome school.

My children attended Twin Peaks for their entire elementary school years. One is now in college and the other in high school. They have fond memories of Twin Peaks' caring community. Additionally, they left with a strong academic foundation, organizational skills, and the confidence one needs as they progress through school and life. Twin Peaks continues to succeed, receivng an "A" rating from the state. They are known as leaders in the PBIS (Positive Behavior system), and in their Child Assistance Team-other districts often send their staff to observe and earn from the staff. In addition to the many programs that Twin Peaks offers, what stands outmost is the sense of community one feels when they enter the school grounds-it is obviously a place where kids feel safe and happy, and staff care. I would highly recommend Twin Peaks to anyone looking for a school that has it all.

Amazing staff, teachers, and PTF! My child is growing and flourishing at Twin Peaks. This school challenges my child academically, and they also focus on being kind and teaching social skills. I feel that all of the students benefit by having such a well-rounded education, including P.E., Music, Counseling, Ben's Bells Kind Kids, technology opportunities, and many after-school programs such as Jump Rope and Drama clubs. The teachers and staff also provide opportunities to for student leadership and advancement, as well as many intervention programs and students are well-supported if they are needing more support in an area. I am so excited to see my child continue to grow and learn over the next several years.

My child attended Twin Peaks ES for 9 years (pre-K -6 grade). During this time their needs for academic, social and emotional development were addressed, assessed and fully supported. The teachers, administration and support staff provided my child the tools they needed to serve them well as they entered into the middle school years. Among the pluses for this school; fully implemented Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS), comprehensive music education (general, choir, orchestra, band), library services, full-time on campus counseling services, gifted ed program, after school clubs/ activities (Cool Cub Chorus, Criss-Crossing Cubs jump rope, drama, lego club, student council, Fuel-Up to Play 60), accelerated math opportunities, and Physical Education classes. Teachers and staff at this school truly care about their students.

Both of my children have attended Twin Peaks from Pre-K and are in approaching their final years in elementary. During this time they have each experienced many different teachers and teaching styles. All have been positive experiences. When my children have needed extra support with reading or math this school has really done an amazing job with giving them the extra interventions to get them up to speed. All teachers have been available and are clearly focused on helping children learn. My children's teachers communicate with me and my children about expectations and provide valuable feedback. All the staff on this campus are friendly and helpful. My kids have really enjoyed the offered after school programs and activities, such as jump rope, drama, cool cub chorus, and student council. I am so happy that they are able to receive music and physical education weekly. This is what model public education is supposed to look like.

Both of my kids attended k-6 at Twin Peaks and received an outstanding education. I felt they were both challenged and nurtured by the kind and caring staff. There were many enriching activities to keep them active and engaged. The administration was responsive to ideas and available to parents. Both of my kids are very different and had different needs, yet Twin Peaks was able to meet each of their needs. I highly recommend Twin Peaks if you are looking for both great academics and a caring, safe campus.

There are very few teachers that seem like they even enjoy teaching at this school. I've witnessed staff being very rude to very young children and it is just not acceptable. They have unrealistic expectations for kinder level kids, and reprimand constantly vice actually instructing. The gates are closed earlier than they are supposed to be in the morning forcing kids to be tardy prematurely. I am so disappointed with this school and the staff. The only positive thing I can say is that the grounds are maintained.

I have experienced nothing but good in the three years that my children have attended Twin Peaks Elementary. The teachers are fantastic. The administration is involved and ready to tackle anything that comes up. I couldn't be happier.

I regret moving my family to be in this school district. I am so disappointed in everything except their parent involvement. I have sat in on the classes (for each of my children's classes K-3rd grade) and was heart broken to see the type of interventions they have for children's behaviors. There is no room for a child to fidget, doodle, or move around in their chair what-so-ever. I can't sit through long meetings at work without doodling. How can they expect young children to just sit completely still? That is not a realistic expectation. There was very little actual instruction and many "group" activities. The classroom looks like assignments given out and children figuring things out for themselves or get a friends help. How embarrasing is it to have to ask your friends for help. I have no idea where the teaching comes in. The most disappointing factor is that both of my children struggle with reading because everything is timed. Instead of taking the time to sound a word out they start shouting out every word they can think of that starts with that letter. My children are as different as night and day. It says something when both do the same thing to read.

My child has been at Twin Peeks since kindergarten and now is in 6th grade. Every teacher, staff and volunteer have been great with the children. Parents are very involved. My child is above average intelligence and very well behaved so I can't be sure how much intervention is provided when needed. My observation of several children who seem to be very behind and would have been in special needs classes 20-30 years ago receive very few hours of extra help. They also pass to the next grade every year. I wonder if parents are aware that their child might qualify for an IEP or if teachers are informing parents of their rights to services available. A huge problem in AZ are politicians who don't place much importance on education and cut funding nearly a million dollars last year. A state full of wealthy retirees will not vote them out.
