We have been at Susick for 2 years now. We are school of choice from Holden where we had a less than stellar experience. They placed my son in danger of losing his life during his pending type 1 diabetes diagnosis & the Holden staff took NO accountability or even followed up when I picked my son up from lunch after they assured me multiple times that they would watch him keep an eye on what he ate til he saw his Pediatrician. He was admitted to Children's for 3 days with a bg of 600!!! No phone call! No follow up! I would however recommend Susick Elementary to family & friends in the district. They take excellent care of my sons medical needs & he thrives there!

Terrible school, please don’t put your kids there. I don’t know how even one like Brandon can call him a teacher While himself is a bully

Experience has been great so far. I had low expectations considering this is a Title 1 school but the teachers are amazing and the interim principal is wonderful. She is present, transparent, and greets the students outside every morning. PTO is great, and school activities are on the rise. From my observations, there may be an issue of parents no being fully involved, but the teachers appear to be breaking that down. The only struggle I can think of is the upcoming middle school that is assigned to this school (Grissom). It's a hot mess and there's no way we are sending our kids there.

We have been very happy at Susick, the teachers have been great and the principal is amazing. He knows every child by name and the parents as well. They also have a bookmobile every summer that provides free books to the kids. If budget cuts hadn't occurred this school could compete with some of the Troy elementary schools.

Principal and teachers are top notch! Fantastic special classes that all students take including STEM. Great after school programs include Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts

I am unhappy to say that I am very disappointed with Susick Elementary. We are a new family to the district this year. My child has been bullied since day 1. I have brought this to the attention of both the teacher and principal. It subsided for a short period of time, then picked right back up again. Also, I am extremely disappointed with the teachers as well. I have been told numerous times that the kids are being yelled at constantly and called names, ie. "cry baby" etc. from the STAFF! My child has so much anxiety going to school every day. We moved to this area from a very highly rated school in Troy. There, we felt valued and were an integral part of the community. Here, even though we are an outgoing and involved family, we have yet to make any connections with any other families or staff. In fact, I have been outright ignored when trying to get to know others. Needless to say...we are not happy and will definitely NOT be staying in the Warren Consolidated school district. I cannot put my children through this any longer.

We sent our son to susick because we were not thrilled with the ratings of his home school. We heard and eead great things about Susick and we couldn't be happier. The principal, Pat Cavanaugh is fantastic. The teachers and students love him, which makes the teachers great at what they do and ultimately our son.

I really like Susick. My son has had really great teachers. He is doing really well there. I love the principle he is extra friendly and knows all of his students name and many of the families. My son loves his teachers and I do to.

My son currently attends Susick. I think it is a great school. He enjoys getting up and going into school every morning. The principle is very hands on with the children. In the morning while I am walking him up to school he is outside by the buses greeting each and every student. I believe he knows all of their names. And not to bad to look at i'd have to say ;) Thumbs up principle hotty! tfair
