Not for children with any kind of special needs, they can't handle it!

TIS is another exemplary school in the Tolland School District. The dedication of the teachers, and willingness to help all students achieve success is unsurpassed.

Our daughter started here in the middle of the year of fourth grade. Her teacher was incredible, and spent time after school with kids who needed extra help with any subject. He really helped her to feel welcomed and included. The paras, admins, and staff were also wonderful. My daughter still remembers how kind the custodian was.

If you're looking for a place that will keep your child alive during the day, then this place is perfect. If, however, you are looking for a real learning environment that will teach your child to think for himself, be creative, inquisitive and outgoing, look elsewhere. Disappointing teachers who focus more on keeping kids in line than on developing the leaders of tomorrow. Burdensome rules and regulations that overshadow the true purpose of education. Administrators who do not follow through on promises to parents or children. Fine if you're looking for a mediocre start place to house your kids while you're at work but not someplace to send bright, curious little learners who want to excel.

It has rewards for kids who do the right thing. There are nice and funny teachers. The principals and specials teachers are nice to the students. Put your kid in this school, it will not only teach them lots, they will have fun doing it. If your kid is in 3rd to 5th grade, this is the right school for you and your kid. The new students are welcomed with kindness from the other students. Send your kid to this school. A lot of the new kids are in 5th grade believe it or not. Kids come from all different grades. The third grade field trips take you to a place with every social studies unit. In fifth grade you go to Boston, Star Hill, and Tolland Middle School.
