I could just cut and past what the 1 star reviewer from July posted. Appalling. They have no consequences for the bullies and seem to not even care when parents pull their children out because they are being bullied. If your child is not cookie-cutter, forget it. They care only about test scores and looking good to the outside world. Bullying is such a problem in this school but the administration seems to have little to no interest in rectifying it. Children who have been reported numerous times for bullying and cruel behavior are still crossing-guards, cheerleaders, etc. There seem to be no consequences. Child have an IEP? Go somewhere else, not worth the fight to get what you are legally entitled to to accommodate your child. Sorry we moved here.

Possibly the worst school my children could have ever attended. What this school lacks in diversity it makes up for in elitism, people of color need not apply. My child refused to return to this school and had to be home schooled because of bullying. One star is too much.

OHS is a great school because the teachers, parents, and administrators all work together. Parent teacher conferences (2x a year) are attended by 100% of the parents. The principal knows each child by name. Parents volunteer in the classrooms weekly. Professional aides are assigned to students who need extra help and reading specialists are involved when needed. The art, language, and music are excellent. The facilities are a dated but they have all new electronics. Class sizes used to be sub 20, but with the budget crunch are now upper 20s. There are cliques as with any school. There are many community events that are coordinated through the school. Sports for <5th graders, not so much.
