When my daughter first started going there we loved this school but when the current principal came in it seems as if it has gone downhill. I am being told that bathrooms are being locked during the day and when I talked with the principal about this, she talked in circles around it. I am also being told that they are not even allowing my child to use the restroom unless it is at specific time frames they have laid out but if she does not have to go, they will not allow her to go at any other times. The principal is condescending and disrespectful whenever you try and talk to her about anything, but then wonders why the parents are disrespectful back to her. Pulling my kids out after this year. Sad because they have made many friends and are going to be sad to leave but the policies they are putting in place almost make me feel like I send my kids to a prison every day!!

Very disappointed in the lack of staff, lack of communication, and very much lack of controlling the students, you can't get ahold of anyone, if they don't want to answer or talk they just don't answer the phone. The school should be inspectedand put on check.

This school doesn’t teach I seen a boy with autism get treated like he was made with solely dirt. They don’t like or respect the kids so the kids become angry. They had multiple bullying situations which they claimed they handled but the girl was still getting bullied every single day.

They let my child get bullied and didn’t do anything about it they don’t teach well AT ALL! They told me that they would deal with it and never did. I would not recommend it at all.

Most of the teachers are newer and the more experienced teachers come and go. Communication with staff is null unless your student is causing issues in class. There has been a lot of bullying and fighting amongst the students and even towards the staff to the point a parent letter was sent home after a parent entered the building to solve a bullying issues herself. This school could be fantastic if there was more structure and discipline, but honestly we are looking to change schools if another incident occurs.

My children attended BVA from 2014-2019. The school sucked us in with all their great promises and wonderful marketing. K & 1st grade were fine no big issues so we stayed. They seemed like they cared and wanted to teach the kids. Problems started when my son was in the 2nd grade. He was constantly being bullied. Came home many days crying from whatever torment he had to endure that day. The school’s solution was to punish my child with in school suspensions. This didn’t seem right but my child enjoyed being alone all day at school. It was better for him then being in a class and being bullied. So this went on during both 2nd and 3rd grade. At least one day a week we got a call about something he did wrong. He was hit, pushing, kicked by other students and the teachers did nothing unless he hit back, then he was in trouble. Teachers telling us that he doesn’t try and that he was lazy and didn’t want to pay attention. Could he have ADD or learning disabilities? No they assured me, he just doesn’t want to try, was their answer. Once we left and he was attending a different school it was suggested that he get tested for ADD. Which he does have and severe dyslexia. My child was trying as hard as he could and the teachers at BVA told him he was lazy and not trying. BVA punished him for being different and having learning disabilities. My son was so far behind grade level at his new school and had to do extra work to keep up. It was heartbreaking to watch knowing that I was the one that did that to him by picking such a terrible school to begin with. But he was no longer bullied daily and didn’t come home cry regularly anymore which was great. His mental health was hurt badly by BVA he still tells stories of things that happened to him there. I’m so glad to be out of that horrible school. When I tell people some of the horror stories of BVA they ask why we stayed so long. Because I was stupid and believe and trusted the teachers there.

I really enjoy Bennett Venture Academy for my son. They do a great job at individualizing homework for each student even if they are in the same class. They work with each students rate of learning and help the ones who need help a little more and challenge the ones who pick It up a little easier. I helps a lot to know your child is not struggling or bored in class because we all know that can cause issues in the classroom.

My school is the best school in the 43612 area. My children get the attention they need and deserve. I am glad that I switched my children from Longfellow to Bennett. It was the best decision I ever made. My son is ADHD, and ODD, so when he enter the school his grades were low, and now with the excellent staff he is now a B- studuent. As a parent who wouldn't want that for their children. My children and I love Bennett and will attend this school until they are in High school.

My daughter attends this school and loves her teachers. She has finally had success in Reading/Language Arts this year. Ms. Aldrich is a wonderful teacher and very supportive.

Awesome! I could not be happier with the school. My daughter has grown so much in the 1st grade that she is now testing above grade level. The staff and administration are so involved and take a general interest in the success of their students. I am glad to be a part of BVA! Miss Sumner is my daughter's teacher and she is amazing. I always like to give kudos where they are deserved!!!

My child was in kindergarten this year and we have had a wonderful experience. Her teacher knows exactly how to challenge her and keep her occupied. She always meets me at pick-up if my daughter had an exceptionally good day or funny story or if there was a rough situation. I know we only have one year's experience, but I feel as though the school reaches out to the parents and families consistently. They hold family dinners and events and the principal will walk the line of cars at pickup to ask how the parents are doing. I believe they are genuinely concerned about the students' welfare and we will be returning. Our second child begins kindergarten next year as well. We are grateful for the positive alternative choice to TPS!

My daughter is starting here for 2013, I find it to be a wonderful school! I personally met the principal & had a long discussion on what I expect from the school, & what they should expect from my child. The Principal was nice, well spoken, and highly educated. Check his credentials, I did! I He showed me the classrooms, let me observe, & I even asked him to show me the curriculum. I needed to know what my child would be learning and if the teachers are qualified to teach her. Everything checked out fine I was not only satisfied but also relieved. The foundation to learning starts at home, you are the first role model & you hold so much more in your home then any teacher can expose your child to! I found the staff to be very helpful and I can t wait for my daughter to broaden her horizons at this school. I have found that with anything in the world you get what you give there is so much negativity in these statements that I can only wonder about the attitudes of these small impressionable children, its highly disappointing. The school is great, every school has some bumps in the road, not one is perfect and remember, there is always the option of disenrollment....

the new principal at this school is a real a$ , he talks down to women thinking he's always right, but I got his number. when it comes to the6-8 gr. PLEASE TAKE THEM OUT OF THIS SCHOOL!!!!! I had my child signed up in another school, she wanted to stay at Bennett why...so she can be with her friends, not good at all.

their scores are low and the teachers seem to have a stick up their a$. the only reason why my husbands two kids go there was because it was a last resort. they dont have there stuff together and everything changes in a blink of an eye. once things get straightened out with the courts with them, we are switching them to another school. NO stars
