I went to this school last year and the only reason I didn’t want to move is because of my friends one kid brought a knife to the school and was going to fight a kid that was in 2022 but in 2021 there where bomb threats and fights every month there was only two good teachers Mrs.rife and mr.smith

I am really happy with Central Middle School. My daughter just finished 7th grade. I have been super impressed with her teachers. They have all been great and most have been exceptional! I was surprised at the middle school level how much they communicate and update parents. Also, anytime I have had to reach out to a teacher they have gotten back to me usually in hours, but no longer than 24 hours. They really do a great job communicating. I have followed closely on Schoology what they have been learning and the lessons they are doing and I have been very happy with the curriculum. More importantly my daughter seems very engaged and interested in what she has been learning. She talks about what she is learning frequently. She talks about how great her teachers are. Our new principal is great. The kids seem to like him and he has definitely increased the over all positive energy at the school. I feel pretty strongly my kids will be prepared for high school.

The administration for Central Middle School has alot of work to do. So much improvement needed. The kids are not advancing from one year to the next academically. The bullying that is allowed to go on in this school is shocking. Decided my child deserved better than a 4 out of 10 school. Pulled her from this district and sent her to private school. Academically thriving in a safe and healthy environment. Something Central does not provide. Hopefully families will look up this school before buying a home in this district. The kids going into high school from Central are always the most behind. Mr. Fortin should be less worried about his sports clubs and start worrying that his school is failing to teach the student there. Also take notice to the bullying punks running that school. This is not the school for 'nice' kids who want to exceed in school.

My son is in 6th grade and is doing great in school this year. I can't begin to express how happy I am with the teachers and staff. My son started to slip in one of his classes so his teacher emailed me and began working with him. She taught him how he should study for her class and pushed him to do better. He's now getting at A+ in that class. Not just that teacher, but all the teachers truly care about the students as a whole and not just academics. I highly recommend Central Middle School.

This school is terrible! If you’re looking for a good school where your child can succeed and be safe then you may want to look elsewhere.

I hated attending this school, the environment sucked for me. A lot of kids were disrespectful to me and disrespectful to bus drivers and teachers.

it is a scary school because it is not a school. it is a location where you send your child to hang out for a while, to kill time, to be away from the street. this level is too low to be acceptable.

Teachers do not display compassion. The school has a lot of bullying. My student had a difficult, stressful 6th grade school year. I am disappointed in the staff's lack of willingness to differentiate for ALL students' needs. I very much hope 7th grade goes much better!

I love Central Middle School. My son is in 6th grade. I could not be happier. Each student has one to one technology correspondence. I can email a teacher and get a response the same day. My son started to slip in one of his classes, his teacher sends me emails reminding me of quizzes and tests to help him study. The teachers truly care about the students as a whole and not just academics.

I'm a student at Central Middle School, I'm in 8th grade. I hate this school. Now dont get me wrong this school is good sometimes but as a student here i feel like we are getting a bad education. my dad in responce has been homeschooling me in some areas such as memorizing the 50 states capitols. or making me read biographys. this school doesn't teach us much over my 3 years at central i think i've retained 15%of the infromation they "teach us". also the sports teams, i made the soccer team, i started as a starter for the team and now im not, they dont put extra people in the game you are left to sit on the bench, which is not fair, i do the work to be on the team but it feels like im not. they do that for all sports.. The encore clases like technology; construction; sowing; and music, they are teaching us how to do physical labor, it shows that this is what they expect for us when we are older. i want a job that makes me use my brain not my body. i feel that with the money resorces we have in tinley park we could do so much with the education and make it better then what they are giving us. btw MR.SMITH is the best teacher ever!

I wish I could give it a 3 but the school lacks discipline. They act like they care if children are getting bullied but really they could care less. They just threaten them with a detention and that's it. The learning curriculum could be better but they don't prepare you for high school like ever middle school should. The teachers are probably as bad as the students. They let the students run wild, and the gym teachers show favoritism towards athletes. The school does encourage kids to get involved though.
