This school is terrible the teachers are rude . The school shouldBe closed down and never reopen again .

Teachers are very attentive and caring. School psychologist,strongly pushes for medication for students and is very egocentric, . The rest of support staff is awesome. Classrooms average 27 students. Lots of fundraisers and family night activities to help raise money for school.

This school is ok not the best... this is my daughters first year here in kindergarten. The classes are way to big... but the year hust started so lets hope its a good one.

Great teachers, terrible administration at all levels. Building has mold issues that are not being resolved. Teachers are always wanting help with these issue but the administration just pushes it to the side. Now with taxes there is not enough money because alot of people rent their house so no taxes. It is a sad situation, that is called beating the system. Even though with these issues there is a great staff of teachers that will teach even though they are putting there lives in jeopardy!

I will try to sum up my 4 years of experience with this school: Kindergarden we had Mrs Yoder,the screamer ,her approach to "try " to educate 5 year olds by screaming and terrorizing them did not work for us ,he cried every day before I had to send him to school . 1st grade we had Mrs Fogg,best teacher in this sad excuse of a school,my son flourished ,enjoyed going to school every day an learned so much . 2nd grade Mr. Brown,pathetic teacher that punished my son ,put him in a desk by himself,for 3 months !! Called him rude an obnoxious ,screamed and pointed his ridiculous sword at kids,the lack of communication was despicable ,he was never opened to work on what works best for my son . 3rd grade Ms. Sinton ,tried her best ,but always brings her personal problems to work ,my son had a substitute for half of the year The principal did not approach bullying the proper way,my son is very small and got picked on a daily base,nothing was done ,in the end he skipped recess because of it an had to have lunch with the school counselor . The school counselor ,Mrs. Fogg an Mrs. Wilson were wonderful !!

Our experience with this teachers of this school has been outstanding. There is overcrowding in classroom, and the building itself needs a facelift. But my special-needs daughter has gotten consistent, caring, and dedicated attention from her teachers both years we've been here. We're grateful for their dedicated effort.

This is a great school! My child is getting a great education and the teachers are some of the best around. I am amazed at how much he has learned to do in 1st grade!

Caln Elementary is a wonderful community school full of bright students. My oldest child attended Caln from 1st-5th and his experience was terrific. Caln teachers properly prepared him to be successful in middle school. My 7 yr old is in 1st grade and he loves his teacher. I appreciate how committed the teachers are too. Caln recently won the District Spelling Bee too.

my question is when is the cut off for kindergarten for school year 2011 2012? my daughter turns 5 september 11th? if she doesnt make the cut off will they make any exceptions if she is extremely bright?

Last year I wrote in about the experience my son had in Kindergarden at Caln. I was very pleased then and I can say I am very pleased this year too. My son has Miss Walker and she is outstanding!!! My son loves his school and is learning so many new facts. I think it is wonderful that Caln teaches their students to give back and get involved in the community along with teaching them normal every day studies. I also think is is awesome they promote school pride and encourage the kids to be proud of where they go. As for the other comments posted on here against Caln Teachers I haven't met one who does not love these kids and doesn't go above and behind. As for the building being run down who cares what matters is the education, love, and support given in those walls.
