My son loves this school. The teachers and the headmaster are great! We are really happy with STEM.

As the parent of a Junior who is now fully immersed in the IB component of the STEM Academy, I am truly delighted at the way attending this school transforms good students into great ones. The Junior and Senior year are exceptionally challenging, yet the students are well prepared by the freshman and sophomore focus on critical thinking and especially writing skills. I attended one of the nations very top prep schools in my day and can confirm that the STEM Academy is even a bit more rigorous. Great communication from teachers, staff and Home and School. Students considering STEM should really evaluate their willingness to work harder and longer than the East or West alternative. An older daughter really thrived at West and went on to a top college, but would not have fit the STEM Academy as well with a bit less flexibility in course selection for junior and senior years. We absolutely love the music department too, with an opportunity to pursue IB HL music. Naturally the math, engineering and sciences are very strong, but who would have guessed the emphasis on writing would elevate students to really strong writers with a powerful science and math background? GREAT School!!

I am so glad the STEM Academy came into being. It's a wonderful learning environment where curious, academically-minded students can thrive. The long-term projects seem like an excellent, engaging teaching/learning tool. Our son loves it there.
