We love the walkability of the neighborhood and many kids do walk to school which is a plus. Also, there is a lot of potential for Colonel Wright Elementary. First, there are plans to change the name to reflect the population and culture, to be more inclusive. Also, there are plans to offer a bilingual Spanish/ English at this location, which is amazing.

Horrible, avoid at all cost. My child was bullied by the administration all year long. My child is intelligent and compassionate and has done wonders in academics as well as socially in the school before and after the one year at Col. Wright. I had many conversations with the principal as well as teachers trying to find a resolution in any way. They acted as though my child was a lost cause and they were unable to handle the children. I've gotten so many calls about my child's behavior (I do not have a child attending the school this year) they've even called people on the pickup list to pick my child up the one that no longer attends. This is not a great school.

The principal gave my son a referral for pushing 2 kids away from each other for fighting. One of the kids fell down. He then kicked my son twice while on the ground then proceeded to stand up and kick him again. So my son pushed him away from him again. This time the kid fell into a fence. Only my son got a referral. I talked to the principal and got her side and just decided that she was misinformed and I would let it go even tho he had a bruise on his shin the size of a softaball. The very next day my son came home from school with a bruise on his arm in the shape of teeth. Mind you I had received no phone call or anything. I asked him what happened,he said a kid but him during recess and the office gave him some ice to pit on his arm. I asked the principal why I was not notified and her reason was she was simply busy. If that doesn't say something about the school and how it's ran idk what to say
