I am a student at dufur school. I will be a freshman next year, and I still. Haven't been "accepted" in. I moved I the school in third grade, and because I didn't attend the school my entire life, didnt have anybody related to me, or wasnt all that physically fit, I've been pretty much rejected by the "popular" kids. The schools teachers are all fake, and are the same as the kids. Because I haven't lived in dufur my whole life they refuse to be decent toward me, and kind of neglect me. Ive gotten in a lot of trouble at dufur and its because of the kids I hang out with. There are five of us and we all moved to dufur. The teachers have no respect for us, making it so that we are always the ones getting in trouble. The teachers have no ireason to get us in trouble, some just do it because they don't like us. The group I hang out with had been reject by the teachers, and they don't care what happens with our academics or education. Don't send your kids to this school. Plssssssss!

what I have seen in the past is that partents want to send their children on into adulthood with the idea that day care can continue. Parents need to get involved with the lives of their children and Dufur Schools has seen more "students outside" that want to live with their grandparents etc. because of no family and no discipline. Blame it on yourselves if you want, but it is by your vote that makes a great school. Go dump on yourselves ....if you want to see a good school...then get involved all the way.

I have never seen or experienced such "politics" as is in Dufur & at the Dufur School. Its all about WHO you are, or WHO you are related to, and of course, HOW good you are in sports. There are some Families, Teachers & Staff that truly care, but most of what goes on is so fake & definitely a double standard. If your child is one of the few accepted & approved then they are amongst the "in" but if like most and your child doesnt "fit into their standard" you & your family are in for a bumpy and unpleasant ride. So sad but true and Im not sure that things could ever be any different, it has been this way for so many generations...I was a student in grade school, then came back to raise my family , my children went their from k-12 but those last 5 years were totally brutal. The gossip, judgement and down right ugliness, was more than we could handle-so we moved away. Thank goodness our kids are all grown up....but now I pray for my neices, nephews, & grand-children.

School focus is completely on athletics. Academics are horrible in middle and highschool. Double standards and extremely unethical behavior from several staff members.

school refuses to do something about another child bullying my child on the bus I myself reported it and they say that its the childs responsibility to report it. It shouldn't have to even come to the point my children had to be removed from the school. And there remark when I said I am pulling them. GOOD. Please stop the bullying in the world
