The school was great prior to the change in principal a few years ago. There is a lack of leadership, the current principal does not engage with her students nor the parents. When threats are posed to the school and students parents are kept in the dark and not informed of what’s going on . The principal consistently punishes of all the students no matter the class they’re in for the actions of one student. Recess, gym, sports, and field trips are non-existent in this school. The main office staff and teachers are great! I wouldn’t say this is the worst school ever, however, the main focus is testing not actual learning. The school needs to bring back previous Mr. Cunningham he was a great principal.

My kid has been there since Kindergarten. I have no complaints and the teachers are on top with students’ homework. They do not tolerate disrespect and they value accountability and hard work. More power to the staff of Icahn5.

I used to Ben an all A student too a d my class until 7 th grade when we got our new principal. SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO CONTROL HER STUDENT. She will give out dentitions and suspension for the smallest things. When I got to 7 th grade my time there was okay I didn’t get excellent grades but I still passed all my classes with 80s and above. When I got to 8th grade that is when everything went downhill. Tbh the main problem with this school is that they do not know to discipline students appropriately and accordingly. One time a student student got suspended for wearing a hoodie during the winter time when it’s freezing outside. All I got to say is if your child gets accepted to this school before 7th and 8th grade

So far it's been great, I would like to see the school hold students who misbehave by fighting to be held more accountable.

So far in the 5 years there, the leadership in this school has been excellent. The kids look up to the principal with lots of respect and admiration. As parents we also feel confident that our kids are getting the attention and proper dedication required to excel in their studies. Thank you Mr. Cunningham and Staff!

The school only helps who they Want. They are prejudice against religion. They set children up for failure.
