The school overall is horrible, to start off the dress code is horrible you can’t wear any hooded jackets, we live in Michigan in the freezing code and our kids can’t wear anything to be warm. Don’t even start on the food, the food is barely edible the mashed potatoes are rock solid, the chicken taste like breaded cardboard and half of students skip out on lunch how bad it is. The deans don’t do anything for bullying or turn eyes when someone is clearly getting bullied or made fun of and it’s sad. As a former student this school is horrible and would not recommend.

This school is not good for college readiness at all. There are very few AP classes or classes that aren't the bare minimum graduation requirements. Taylor High has engineering and cooking classes but here? nope. The work is not challenging and all feels like filler. Teachers come and go like nothing, constantly being replaced by somehow even worse ones. The lunch is horrible as well. How do they expect us to have energy to learn when they serve chicken patties that have the same consistency as styrofoam? And another thing, bullying isn't dealt with. If they're popular or good with staff, you can expect them not to face any consequences whatsoever. Teachers themselves will stoop to petty lows and engage in bullying, or treat you worse if you speak up against bullying from their favorite students. There is virtually no consequences for bullying here.

If your child passed at another school with a D they will take that grade away. They will put your student back a grade. Then charge you $150 each class make it up. They are a very unorganized school NHA you need to do better with the way this school is ran.

As a student of three years, I can give an honest first hand account to just how terrible Taylor Prep is. Over the summer, several teachers resigned and moved on to better schools. We have just started the third month of the school year and one teacher has already quit. Many of the current teachers are unqualified. Rats and supposedly bed bugs have been seen all over the school. The school is extremely overpopulated and was not built to hold the amount of kids that currently attend. We are not allowed to wear spirit wear that we purchase. They check our pockets for phones. I personally feel that they punish the wrong people for the wrong things. By that I mean that they will give you detention for being 2 minutes late to school in the morning but don't punish kids for vaping in the bathrooms. They give no support to kids who are struggling with their grades. Please don't send your kids here. They won't get the full high school experience and they will feel smothered and forced to succeed instead of feeling supported. I regret wasting the past three years here. I am transferring very soon.
