I would not recommend. The principal SUSAN SWEET is not professional. She lacks knowledge about IEP and will not honor them as they are required to do so. She acts on her own personal animosities and treated my six year old Autistic child poorly just because I challenged her decisions.

I am so glad my children get to attend this school. If we ever moved I would keep them here by way of school of choice.

I have 2 children that currently attend Kinyon. I am extremely happy, comfortable & grateful for the entire staff at school. Principal McGuire is top notch. Teachers there are like second mothers. I am proud to be a Kinyon family.

Hello, we take the safety of our students very seriously. All buildings are locked with the exception of the morning entry time and at that point they are manned with staff. We have cameras throughout the building inside and out. These are monitored in the building as well as the board of education and police have secured web access to observe the safety of the building. To even get in the building we have a speaker / video camera that all parents must speak into and get buzzed in. We have a rich curriculum that has science and social studies embedded into the reading program as well as the rest of the day is devoted to math with common assessments to drive teaching practice and identify those that need help and enrichment. Students that need additional help in reading and math spend time with a math interventionist or reading interventionist to get the needed help. Those that do not need the additional help are given enrichment and extension activities and lessons to further their understanding and challenge them. Please, if you have questions or concerns, I want to hear from you! I have an open door policy and I want to make Kinyon the best possible experience for all families!

My child has been attending for 2 years. He is now in 1st grade. Safety procedures are not up to par. I walked in the school at 10:50am... The doors were not locked. Way too much homework is sent home. Seems like only thing they teach in kindergarten and 1st grade is reading. My child needs to be challenged more in math.

my daughter went to that school 3rd grade through 5th an loved it the teachers work good with the students an the principal mrs. mcguire was awesone

One of Taylor's best! Strong leadership, Mrs. McGuire makes anyone feel welcome into the Kinyon family! The teachers go above and beyond and really care about the students as a whole child!

Kinyon is a GREAT school. Mrs. McGurire is the best thing that has happend to our school and we can go no where but up from here. Looking forward to the next school year and the 4 more years that will come after it. If you are looking for a school to send your child to look no more. One meeting with Mrs. McGuire and you will feel like family and be treated like family. I have 3 children and all of them are above avrage on meep scores. I will not only say our school is the best. I have the scores to prove it! Hope to see you next year at Kinyon. I am a Kinyon Roadrunner and PROUD of it!

This school has failed our students. The teachers need to go back to school and re-educate themselves. None of my children or family members will be attending this school next year.

My son attends Kinyon, he is a smart child who is being challenged by his teacher. The school is well maintained, loving and caring. The new principal, Mrs. McGuire, had boundless energy and loves the children. She is approachable and really is invested in Kinyon school. I recommend this school to ANYONE!
