My child had great teachers that helped him through his early years. Great involved principal that wants the school to improve in many ways. My son will now move to a highly gifted magnet after attending Roscoe and I am proud of him and the school that prepared him to get there.

My child attended 2008- 2009. My child was bullied by his teacher. This teacher is still currently teaching at this school. The principal who is no longer there would not move him from class. My child has a learning disability and was targeted by the person that was hired to protect him and help him. I was told that my child doesn't want to learn by his 1st grade teacher. None of the teachers that followed (in a different school of course) ever treated my child in that way. They have supported him, guided him and he has shown growth academically and socially. Parents watch for signs & go to the schools and ask for observation visits you have every right to visit the classrooms. Get involved! Protect your children.

I wouldn't recommend this school at all! Some teachers are out of line! And I believe that their are correct ways to talk to the students without yelling at them or harassing them with dumb punishments, especially In front of the rest of the students,

The staff sincerely care about the children's education and needs. Being a former employee I have worked directly with teachers, principal, staff members, and office staff. In all honesty, the staff work extra hours to make sure these students are meeting criteria, and truly care for the kids. The new principal, Mr.Garay has taken on his position with pride, and interacts with the children on the daily. The teachers try their best to meet the individual needs of their students. The afterschool program (LA's BEST) works diligently to keep the kids safe, and interact in fun activities. All around a great school.

This is an awesome school. Everyone (the staff) really work together to build a strong community of learners. The new principal Mr Garry is involved with the staff and students. He has really kept the integrity of the school in tact. I was a student teacher at this school and enjoyed going to school everyday.
