As a military family moving to the area from an advanced-level school district, our elementary students have excelled at Cane Bay Elementary. They are an incredible team of administrators, teachers, and staff that CARE. With kids with 504s and IEPs, a team dedicated to helping your child succeed and partners with the parents to ensure students are set up for success is something not to be taken lightly. If we could give CBE 10 stars, we would.

My son has been going to CBE since the start of this school year. His teachers have gone above and beyond to make sure that his needs are accommodated. He is on an IEP and works with his intervention teacher, general classroom teacher and there have been many others that have stepped in to aide in the process. My number one concern for moving to a new school was finding caring and compassionate teachers that met his needs emotionally. Not everyone is concerned about that but not everyone has a child with special needs that struggles tremendously with his mental health.I know I am just one parent but I hear a lot of negativity and I wanted to post something positive to highlight what has been done in the short time my son has attended CBE.

Recently moved from Idaho and can’t get our children in to the local schools do to overcrowding. The waitlist for the middle school (as of 7/14/2021) is ONE HUNDRED PLUS! DO NOT buy a home in Cane Bay for the schools if you plan on getting in fir the 2021 school year.

Our child just started with Cane Bay Elementary and already had two separate incidents with the same teacher involving school protocol in regards to sending 6 year olds in the hall without supervision as well as bullying on the playground. When we addressed the issue with several school leadership members they demonstrated a lack of consistency on protocol, as well as, became defensive because we were showing concern about the safety and well-being of our child. I feel the school lacks a sense of urgency in communicating school protocol to all staff and holding teachers accountable for poor performance. We deserve better for our children in the Cane Bay community.

Cane Bay Elementary seems to care about teaching students as well as developing/molding them into positive, successful people that will benefit society and their communities. However my main concern is over populating the school. Cane Bay alone is a very large community that is rapidly growing. Seems to me like construction to expand the school is needed already! And not more trailers!

I am a grandmother and spend many hours at this school volunteering. I see the dedication not only of educators but the entire staff. A Great Place for Learning. 5 Stars

Unimpressed. I have 2 children attending and neither seem to be challenged at all. We moved from Seattle last year and have felt this school is very "behind." Would love to see more enrichment and different forms of learning. My third grader is learning all sorts of exciting and interesting History by reading a newspaper about each topic each week and then taking a test. Wishing she had opportunities to do projects, posters, reports, more hands on types of ways to learn about topics. Art is a joke. Everything they bring home looks as though it came from a pre-school.

This is a wonderful school! The building in new and clean, with security cameras everywhere and separate wings for older and younger children which require you to be buzzed in through the office (after ID check and signing in). The academics are top notch as well. The curriculum seems faster paced, with an excellent staff to support the children and help them to learn and grow.
