We have two boys that attend Sacred Heart School, and it is a great elementary school! The teachers are excellent and genuinely care for each and every student. Our kids are getting an excellent education and have opportunities to engage in great extra- curricular activities for music, science, etc. We are very pleased with the school, faculty and organization.

The good:They do adhere to the common core. The teachers attempt to keep discipline. The aftercare is affordable and children get to make friends outside of their grade. Lunch program is affordable. There are choices like piano and legos for after school programs. The bad:There are way too many students in the Kindergarten class. It was like 30 students and some of the students have disruptive behavioral issues. If your public school is horrible, then sacred heart is an affordable alternative.

What a joke this school is. As a former parent in this school I would recommend anywhere but Sacred Heart School. The lower grade teachers are good, but once you pass 3rd grade it's time to go somewhere else. They really just don't care. The principal is just coasting to retirement and couldn't care less about any serious issues brought to her attention. Bullying is rampant in the school, and they do nothing about it. Stay away - you can do so much better for your child.

The lower grade teachers are no better than a high school click full of gossip. One lower grade teacher is exceptional though. The Principal is no better as she allows the teachers to run the school. Better to start this school in the later grades. Keep mindful that two lower grade teachers are there as a job rather than a profession. They do not care enough about the students. As adults, they cannot differeniate between constructive critisism and flat out complaints. As well, the lower grade aides yell alot which is not good for the young students. If you are considering this school, ask the Principal and Monsignor about complaints on the 2 lower grade teachers. They should be upfront, honest and discreet just so you are aware of things before sending your child there.

My son recently graduated from kindergarten at Sacred Heart. He received an excellent academic education. I researched other parochial schools around the area and none of them provided the level of education for Kindergartners compared to Sacred Heart. His kindergarten teacher was wonderful and provided a high-level lesson plan through-out the school year and has managed to keep my sons interest in learning. The principal The principal is very involved with all of the students and knows each students name providing a very personal relationship with each and every student, something I appreciate as a parent. The principal also has great handle of the school. My experience with the rest of the school staff has been just as wonderful. Something important to note is how about several students from the 8th grade graduating class received scholarships for Don Bosco and Immaculate Heart. This says a lot about Sacred Heart, their students and education.
