I don't know what happened in 4 years but my oldest daughters class was amazing and they are thriving, the PTA was active and it was an amazing school ranked 10 in great schools. In 4 years and covid it has fallen to a school rated 4 and I can tell you that parents with kids who went there before we all notice the difference and decline in the quality of the school, participation, the clicky and snobby PTA, its pathetic.

RP Connor is great. They have a great principal on board. All of my kids have gone to RP Connor and have done very well.

We’ve had great experiences with the staff at this school so far. Many seem to genuinely love the students and they try and build a relationship with them. The curriculum is average, especially Lucy Calkins. There is better stuff out there for schools to use.

Can't say enough about RP. Just a few years ago, everyone was envious of Viola but now so many want to send their kids to Connor (and people are moving into the district) that traditional Connor areas are now moving kids to other elementary schools. This school is getting better while the class is getting more ethnically diverse. Strong parenting is making a difference.

I have experienced this school for two years K and 1st grade through my daughter. I can only say positive things , it has the feel of a solid old time school, arts, community, fun yet learning and standards. Some schools are so focused on test scores they loose the love of learning. RP connor has the love of learning and starts with a great staff. So far so good.

I went to school here when it was Cypress Road School. That was in the 1960s. It was always a great place for education and fun. George Vreeland Hill

Love the school and love the programs. My son is in the first grade. The teachers are really good and are involved with the students. When i speak to other parents about the schools program and academics they are equally impressed with what the kids are learning and speak highly of the school. There are also a lot of activities that involve the pta organizing events. My favorite are the outdoor family movie nights.

There is a problem with this school,, there is a group of parents that they think they own the building and we must follow their game or we are relegated to the side, the principal shows some attitude to parents and i guess is for the pressure but in overall she do her job, and as by this "owners" parents let me tell you that we see your actions every day and you also know what you are doing is not right, other kids and parents should be treated as that and please destroy that club of yours.. so disappointed.

This school is amazing. My son started going to the school this year and I already love what is going on in the class. Mrs. Roemer is absolutely wonderful. She is attentive and on top of the students. What these kids are doing in school now just amazes me. Love everything so far.

RP Conner has a bullying problem that IS NOT addressed. It's quite clear that the PTA members have their children in all the best activities and parts in school plays.

I'm very happy with the school's teaching methods! My kids learned a lot! We are from another country and they had all the suport to learn and improve their english. Now, 2 years later, they are independent readers, with same reading and writing skills as an american kid. The school resources are great too.

The teaching staff at RP Connor is well trained and take a genuine interest in the children and their success. The teachers meet with parents regularly and as needed to discuss development. The staff do a nice job of integrating the requirements needed to pass the state exams and the overall physical and social/emotional development of the children. The special educaion teachers and therapists are outstanding. Most children are able to transition into middle school with minimal support, but if a child requires additional services the staff will push for it. The PTA has an excellent following and is very active in the community generating needed money for upgrades in the school. Overall Iam very pleased with every aspect of the school and my child's development both academically and socially.

I have a second grader at RP Connor and couldn't be happier. The district is top-notch, with the HS offering outstanding AP courses and high state rankings. There are 5 elementary schools, (Viola, Cherry Lane, RP Connor, Montebello, and Sloatsburg), which feed into the Suffern MS for grades 6-8, and then into the HS for grades 9-12. The teachers at RP Connor know what they are doing and most, (if not all), are masters prepared. The school is clean, well organized, and the class sizes are kept around 18 students. Every class uses a 'Smartboard', and all are outfitted with computers. We have had a great experience here and the district is exceptional!
