All of my children attended Stratton School. It is a wonderful community with dedicated and nurturing educators. The community is very supportive and contributes to the success of the school. There are many extracurriculars, almost too many to name: Public speaking, Steel drums, Gifted & Talented, Student council, Athletics just to name a few.

My child began attending this year and I have not been impressed at all. At the open house there were only 2 teachers there (that I saw) and 1 left within minutes of us arriving. The art teacher seems to do the same thing with the kids multiple weeks in a row, and she's also the music teacher (not sure if she's musically inclined or not). When you live in a tiny town people who are known in the community (above mention teacher) get the job over more qualified individuals. The gym teacher sounds great though and everyone who works there is really nice.

I cannot believe how wonderful this school is in such a rural community! Other schools should be taking notes!!

I have been extremely pleased with this school since my firstphone call to schedule a visit. My two children are happy, challenged and nurtured...a gem in the mountains for sure!
