I have two kids in school here and have seen none of the derogatory information mentioned in other reviews. I would like to see the kids challenged more in certain areas, spelling and handwriting for example, but their math program has been great and their reading is pretty good also. Given the way state mandated testing is implemented they probably have little choice in that matter, therefor I work with my kids most nights on areas I feel they need to improve in and don't rely on the school for everything.

Don't recommend this school: This school has a major BULLYING issues/School handbook policies not followed/enforced. Not a positive atmosphere! Consider other options if you want your child(ren) to excel in academics. Students are not encouraged to excel in academics.

What a sad school. No music, no band, and a lack of disipline that is unrivaled. My kids moved here from a very progressive school. Instead of pushing the kids to excel, a teacher told me that we had to let the kids move at thier "own pace". You can't force them to learn. So now my daughter is going to be in 5th grade and is still reading at a 3rd grade level. I am very hearbroken at the lack of education provided. However, they do watch lots of movies during class time. So I guess they are at least getting their entertainment requirement.
