We love Pico! We moved here in 2019, and my kids have learned so much and have excelled tremendously over the last years! Wish we would have moved sooner! 100% recommend Pico!

My son has grown from being shy, quiet kid to being confident and communicative young man. He is by no means top of his class but the progress he has made over the years is no mean feat. His emergence from his shell is no accident. This school is the best in the area with excellent support not just for the overperforming kids but also the kids with learning disabilities. No school is perfect, but Pico strives for excellence in the holistic education of every child no matter what their background is.

We transferred. With my son i knew it wasn’t a good fit with my daughter who is a good natured quiet rule follower she had so much anxiety and stress at that school i transferred her as well

We LOVE Pico Canyon! Throughout my daughters years at this elementary school, she has had wonderful teachers. Mrs. Rainville, the principle, is extremely involved. The music program at this school is amazing! Most public schools have gotten rid of their music programs but the Newhall school district sees the benefits of incorporating the arts. There are a million ways to get involved in your child’s education and a ton of volunteering opportunities for parents. My daughter is excelling in school and feels so confident because of it. It is truly a remarkable school.

Pico Canyon is an amazing school! The teachers and administrators are so caring and hardworking. Mrs. Rainville is such a wonderful leader for this school and knows how to connect with the students as well as the parents. She makes everyone feel welcome to be a part of Pico Canyon.

We love Pico Canyon! Strong teachers, great administration (even with the change to a brand new principal: Mrs. Rainville) and a great community of parents and kids. Always something fun going on, from Multicultural Night to Mother-Son Superhero Party to Talent Show. Lots of enrichment opportunities for learning, from orchestra and choir, to robotics, to art. We have *loved* our teachers and my kids have absolutely thrived academically. We love this school.

Pico Canyon is a top notch, grade A, excellent school! Mrs. Banda the principle is a hands on professional who balances compassion with leadership. The teachers are excellent!! Especially the sixth grade! We transferred from private school as well, and definitely feel the education our child is getting at Pico Canyon Elementary school is head over heals above the private schools we attended.

This is a fantastic school and Mrs. Banda the principal is unbelievably amazing. The teachers are great. My kids started out at a private school and switched to Pico, I am thrilled that we did. Everything we heard about public schools was a lie. I can't say enough good things about Pico.

Pico Canyon elementary is a first class school with great teachers and a wonderful Principal. Almost all of the teachers give 100% and Mrs Banda, the Principal is very helpful and genuinely cares about the welfare of the kids.

The staff at Pico Canyon do a great job for the vast number of children they have to manage. I think the kids get a good education and they are pretty well-supervised. Because it's a fairly diverse mix, we get some bad eggs and I wish there were some way to hold back those bullies when they get rough (I see bad behavior unchecked when I volunteer at school, though any time I report something, it's dealt with.) When kids aren't being disciplined at home it carries over at school, and I do believe suspension needs to be kept as an option for any school for the protection of all the students, and to keep an environment where students can learn effectively and teachers and staff can remain in control of very large numbers of children.
