I’ve seen everything from a adult teacher manipulating students and making students fear them to discrimination to the disabled. I’m glad the school is shutting down

This school is not up to expectations. The teachers make the kids not want to come to school. The school is nasty, roaches, dirty bathrooms, bugs, dirt everywhere, etc. not only do they not care about the kids but the teachers too. Many teachers should be fired for their behavior. They allow violence, smoking, and bullying. This school should be checked out. The environment is not safe.

I went there last year, but it was not the best school. you were not allowed to wear leggings or sweatpants because ¨they aren't professional enough¨.I was also forced to have all the girls in the school use one bathroom, which meant the line would be long. I also got suspended because I had thrown up in the bathroom and instead of going straight back to my classroom I went to the nurse. I think this school needs to remember these are kids you're talking to and you shouldn't use your rank to scare children.

I am a current student here and the only response from teachers when someone is bullying another student is a talking-to in the hallway. The "interactive" things that are supposed to help our mental health only lose interest within the first few minutes. I am glad this school is being shut down soon. The administration must be changed before then.

really really really horrendous school for any minority group ever. bullying and discrimination is rife, even among staff and teachers, to the point it has caused dramatic mental health spirals for dozens of people. glad i transferred to shelburne (it's not the best, but it's fantastic compared to that school) almost none of the classes are engaging in any way, counselors and teachers are not safe adults to talk to bullying about because oftentimes they hold the same biases that the students do. the students and staff are painfully nondiverse, and it's not a good learning environment. if your kid has the option to do any other school, send them THERE. instead of helping get rid of self-destructive coping mechanisms because of the constant harassment, kids are punished. terrible :(

This has to be the worst school in history. The staff either does nothing about bullying or they make excuses for the bully. I wouldn't send a dog there! Furthermore they single out certain kids for example kids that come from Craigsville Elementary are treated very poorly and are not protected from bullies at all. In fact some of the teachers even bully the kids. My daughter had a male teacher that would stand behind her so close that his parts would be touching her shoulder while he's trying to look down her shirt. Even the boys in her class noticed and told. The principal's solution to this was to tell him he isn't allowed to go near my daughter in the classroom anymore. Really? This school is a major joke. And I agree it needs to be shut down!

The staff doesn't do anything to stop bullying

Horrible. This school should be shut down but they can’t because then us middle schoolers would have nowhere to go. This school is the worst and you should not send your kids here

BMMS is doing a great job. I believe that my child is SAFE and receiving a QUALITY education. We constantly receive updates from the school via audio message. I receive emails regarding work that is due and when tests are scheduled. I am very happy THIS YEAR with the communication of the school. The band program is awesome. Music has become a large part of our household because of the music department at BMMS. The science curriculum is pretty great. Overall, I have no major complaints. I know of no bullying, I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but I haven't heard anything from my children or their friends. There is an odd juxtaposition here that all the county kids attend this school though they later some will attend a different "rival" high school. I have full faith in Mrs. Bergdorf (current principal) and her ability to manage this school.

Beverley Manor is a great school for the most part. I do have a problem with some teachers, but other than that, it is a very good school!

This school is awful. The teachers are very unfriendly and not very willing to help the students and do not even mention the principal or assistant principal. Ms. Miller is a joke as a principal. She is more concerned with punishing students than getting to the root of the problem and that's the same way Mr. Connor is. Guess that's why they work so well together. If you are also worried about your child being bullied or picked on this isn't the place either because they are no help in stopping this growing problem
