This is one of the best schools that my children have gone to. Mrs. Crocker, the principal, is absolutely one of the best. She takes any issues you may have seriously and deals with it appropriately. Bullying is not tolerated at all and students learn that very quickly. I highly recommend this school!

My daughter has attended McSwain for two years. We LOVE the school. She has had two amazing teachers who seem to truly care about the kids. I communicated with them via email very often and feel very comfortable leaving my child in their hands while I am working.

I hate to see poor reviews of Mcswain my son has been there for 4 years and we have no complaints except for the "I expect the school to raise my kids" mentality of people. My son has had great success! Mrs. Crocker has been the most supportive, active, loving, compassionate principals ever! She is even out with the kids playing kick ball and interacting with the kids. She has made special lunches with my son when he has a hard time! So, I wish there were more schools like this! Also, you will always find bad teachers but you have to help change that one of the most amazing student teachers Kate Carper had a hard time getting a job here when the head teacher has no compassion and its things like that which will damage a schools reputation!

Do yourself a favor and find another school. While we were happy with kindergarten year, the first grade have been horrible mostly due to a very bad teacher. It seems that your luck depends on teacher quality and if your kid gets stuck with an incompetent teacher, then you and your child will go through nightmare on a daily basis!!! Can't wait to take my kid out of this school.
