I am a graduate of PS29. I have nothing but fond memories of the school. I was t here during my formulation years and was well prepared for my future studies. While not a great student, I learned how to apply myself and take control. I have done well in life and now look back on my time there and smile. By the way, I am a 1961 graduate!

Although the school is located in a seemingly nice neighborhood, the corner of its location is one of the causes of highest accidents. The principal Linda Manfredi at this school is very unprofessional and can get really nasty, rude, and confrontational with parents when she has to deal with behavior issues inside the classroom. Not only that, the gifted and talented classes are taught by teachers who aren't even licensed to teach it. To makes matters worse, the principal places children, whom have never even taken the exam, into the G&T classes causing overcrowding inside the classrooms. If your child is in special education, I would not recommend this school because just dealing with the principal alone is like asking for a fight in the fighting ring. She'll treat you as though you're an opponent. She does not work well with parents to achieve success for the child.

I love this school for so many reasons . The principal really cares about her students which is clear from her interactions and parent hand book. She also inspires the children not only in education, but in character . P.S.29 is very involved in helping the community and supporting our country. The teachers are incredible as well. They are so dedicated and bring out different learning styles. The children are exposed to a large variety of enrichment classes . The newly updated Library is beautiful and inviting. My child loves going to school and is excited to go in the mornings. That yells me a lot. I know she is in good hands. The PTA is very devoted and always have been.

I think it is great school. My son used to go to private school and I moved him to PS 29 last year. I can compare their education level with Private school. Teacher s work are outstanding.

This school is amazing! I am a former teacher and a parent of a kindergarten student. My child's teacher is probably the best teacher I ever encountered. My child has learned more in the past 6 months then ever imagined. She is challenged everyday. The principal is extremely efficient! My child loves going to school!

This school is not good. Some teachers are great, while others don't care about the students needs. I also noticed a lot of favoritism. They have never made my children feel welcome. There are no art or music programs. I am not impressed with this school.

PS29 is truly a great school!!! My daughter started kindergarten this year, and she looks forward to every school day. Great staff, wonderful teachers, and the parents are all very involved. There is always something going on, whether they are collecting for one of their numerous charities or planning the next school trip. They are truly a "rare breed"....

The school is very pro-active with the parents via email, the teachers show a great interest in each child and they have many extracurricular activites available for the families to engage in.

I love this school because if ever I have a problem, I know I can talk to the teachers and principal and be listened to and helped with my children.

My son has had 2 outstanding teachers for 1st and 2nd grade. P.S. 29 has a lot of school spirit, the parents are highly involved, and the Principal highly effective.
